39 Can I refuse? (2/2)

”We, Lori and I had agreed to get married after 4 to 5 more years. After all, we're still young and we are not rushing. I hope our family will support us with our decision. We have plenty of time to plan our wedding. We hope to see you all again on that day.” Cheng Ze continued.

Lori has a big smile on her face. ”My dear family and friends, as you can see, we are deeply in love with each other. Please trust our decision. We are both happy and agreed to get married after 4 years. Thank you for understanding us and I hope you all enjoy the evening.” She couldn't hide her happiness.

However, Li Wei cannot join this happiness. To him, it doesn't feel right. He's secretly rooting for Ms Li, after all, he worked hard to take her to his boss and he gets paid a lot if his job will include her.

Gu Feng and Gu Mei Li are happy with their announcement. They understood what the couple wants. They too agreed to it.

Shen Shui and his wife Shen Xin Yi are not so happy. They want the marriage to happen soon. They want grandchildren. But because they love their daughter so much, they will support her decision.

All in all, everything went well. Everyone is happy and satisfied. Well, except Li Wei of course.

Cheng Ze took Lori to her home. He drove her home personally without Li Wei. Inside the car, Loris' smile is from ear to ear. ”I'm glad you weren't there on our first engagement. Otherwise, I will not experience this very sweet gesture from you.” Lori leaned on Cheng Ze arm and she shut her eyes, pondering the moment that had happened.

They arrived at her house. He opens the door of the car for Lori. ”You should go in and rest.” He took her to their front gate. ”I have to go home as well, I have to be in the office early.”

Lori is not letting him go just yet. ”Cheng Ze... I will wait for 4 years patiently. I will trust you and I'll be loyal and faithful to you. I love you so much.” She tiptoed and sealed his lips with a kiss. It surprised him and couldn't open his mouth to kiss her back.

Lori is persistent. She bit his lower lip and pull it a bit so she can enter his mouth. Once her tongue got in, Cheng Ze woke up from being startled. He held Lori in her arm and pushed her to the gate. Lori let go of his lips.

”You shouldn't do this Lori.” He said calmly.

”Why? Isn't it normal for couples to kiss? It's just a goodbye kiss.” She replied.

Cheng Ze smiled at her ”It should be me kissing you not the other way around.”

Lori felt special and what he said made her heart flutter. ”Okay, I'll remember that.” She replied happily.

”Good night Lori.” Cheng Ze head back to the car.

”Good night Cheng Ze.” She went inside after his car is no longer in sight.
