40 Daddy (1/2)

After the summer holidays, everything is back to normal. This time, Sofia stays with Ji An. She hired a nanny to look after Sofia when she's in Uni.

Eric comes to visit them every weekend. They agreed to be friends for Sofia's sake. Their divorce is pushing through quietly as both parties agreed to it. They should be divorced pretty soon.

Alice doesn't have a clue about the divorce. To her everything is okay and she doesn't see any problems between them. It seems like Ji An forgave her brother already, so she is happy and doesn't get involved anymore.

Sofia is now 1 year old. She calls Eric Daddy. Ji An is not too keen about it but she cannot stop Sofia from calling him daddy.

To Eric, its music to his ears every time Sofia calls him daddy. He wants to give her everything she wants or asks for. He wants to spoil her. Sofia is his only way to Ji An, so he thinks.

Ji An only looked at Eric as a friend from the beginning anyways. He's lucky that she's still nice to him after what he did. She's no longer looking for Sofia's dad. She figured, they can live and survive without that person, and thanks to him that she has a little angel.

Eric still tries to date Ji An, but she will always find a way to refuse him without Alice noticing anything.

Once in a while, she will go out with Eric just so Alice will not notice what's going on between them. Alice is completely clueless about their divorce.

Sofia is very fond of Eric. To her, Eric is her dad. Eric is very fond of little Sofia too. Ji An asked Eric not to be so close to Sofia because she doesn't want Sofia to longed-for him. It is not good for her if Eric is always by her side.

She had told Eric that eventually, she will tell Sofia the truth. She told him that he can visit her but limit their closeness.

Being in Uni helps a lot in their current situation. Being in her 2nd year as a Psychology student, she's busier than the previous year.

Eric is busy with his company as well. He is trying to expand his business in Asia.

One weekend, all three of them, Ji An, Alice and Eric had free time. They all went out to bond. They went to see a movie and dine out.

Eric and Ji An sat together while Alice sat on the opposite side. While eating, Eric started a conversation. ”So how is Uni these days?”

”You don't wanna know Eric, I tell you. It sucks so much. My brain has shrunk and can no longer think.” Alice laughs a little.
