21 What has become of humanity? (1/2)

Renae tried her best not to, but every now and then, she'd check her phone. The news was spreading like wildfire! Even worse, the comment section was filled with comments about how much of a man-hunter she was. What made things much harder to fix was that she didn't really care about making friends in the past, so no one in their school really knew much about her. This just made it easier for others to believe in what the article said, especially with such well edited photos as proof.

Staring at the screen in front of her face, Renae was still as water. She didn't express the negative thoughts floating about in her head though. She decided it would be best to keep it to herself.

Min sat on a big pink fluffy office chair, typing non-stop on the comment section of the article. There were tons of people sh*t talking Renae and she was enjoying every bit of it! The only thing that brought her down was that, today in school, Renae didn't seem to be effected by anything she's done and neither was Matthew. She was more than irritated by it.

She sat back and watched the endless sea of comments go by. ”Come on. You're a genius, so think of something else to stop her from being such a clingy b*tch to Matthew...” she mumbled to herself, squinting her eyes.

That was when an idea hit her! She sprung up from her seat in ecstasy. In the comments, she typed, ”Hey! I have a good idea! Why don't we gang up on her? A wh*re like her doesn't need to exist!” There were a handful of people who were absolutely disgusted by her idea and immediately disagreed, but the amount who agreed with her idea overtook them. What has become of humanity? Many of them thought, their hearts growing heavy.

Min exchanged numbers with the ones who agreed with her idea. They discussed for some time and created a plan. They decided to put this plan to action the very next day. Min was exceptionally buoyed by this. She could hardly contain her excitement as she fell asleep that night.

The next morning, Min met with the girls that she was going to gang up with for the first time. They recapped the plan and dispersed. They knew that Renae came to school with Matthew, spent break time with Kaiden, and went home with a mystery man, so they had to think of a way to get her alone. Since Kaiden and Matthew only knew about Min, they chose one of the girls to distract Kaiden during break and someone to ask to talk to Renae in private. That's when they would strike!

The next day, they executed their plan the moment classed was dismissed.

”Kaiden!! I heard you're a Chemistry genius. I'm failing my Chemistry really badly, so can you please tutor me during lunch? Just this once will be fine!” The girl exclaimed. Without giving Kaiden a chance to say anything, she dragged him to the library. ”Wait... I don't mind tutoring you, but let me message Renae about this first,” Kaiden said as he pulled out his phone. Upon hearing Renae's name, the girl cringed. She had to try her best not to ask why he bothered being friends with a promiscuous girl like Renae. She kept her mouth shut and patiently waited for Kaiden to be done. After which, they started the tutoring.

Meanwhile, an innocent looking girl entered Renae's class. She looked around and spotted Renae speaking with Matthew. Just seeing them talk to one another almost made the girl puke. She walked up to them. ”Renae! I... I have something to speak with you about. Don't worry! It has nothing to do with that article about you... I don't believe it at all, I trust you!” The girl lied as if it was as easy as walking.

Matthew was very much skeptical as he had never seen or spoken to this girl at all before, but Renae on the other hand, simply smiled at the girl and agreed to speaking with her in private. Matthew gave her an unsure look. ”What's the worse she could do? Don't worry, I can defend myself. I'm not afraid,” Renae reassured him.

Hearing this, the girl almost burst out laughing. Defend herself? Against so many girls, it was definitely impossible!
