Cathy replied, ”I believe you. What should we do about this?”
Renae sighed then typed, ”I honestly have no idea...”
”Then should I tell Matthew and Kaiden about this?”
She immediately started typing, ”No, don't. I don't want them to worry about me.”
”Alright.” But she still planned to tell them.
They ended their conversation there.
Cathy then created a group chat and sent the information to Matthew and Kaiden.
Matthew replied, ”We'll keep an eye on Min... Earlier, on the way home, a car was following behind us. Is that Min's doing?”
”Most probably. She's always doing bad deeds to others ever since secondary school,” Cathy replied back to Matthew.
”It's getting serious... I've just seen the article on Renae. We need to do something about this,” Kaiden replied.
Cathy asked the both of them,”So what do you suggest we do?”
”Kaiden and I can prevent Min from getting close to Renae. As for you, report to us if you have any news about Renae,” Matthew suggested.
”Ok,” the two of the replied.
That night, Renae couldn't sleep. She kept thinking about what the staff and students in the school might think of her... the comments that they would say. At that moment, her phone vibrated. It was a message from both Matthew and Kaiden. Matthew sent her, ”Don't be scared. I'm here for you.”
Kaiden told her, ”Don't care about what others think about you. Sleep well tonight.”
Once she finished reading, she switched off her phone and looked up at the ceiling as she laid on her bed. What great friends I have, what did I do to deserve them? Renae thought to herself.
Taking Kaiden's and Matthew's words to heart, she slept soundly.
The next morning, Matthew still drove over to pick Renae up.
Renae got into his car and asked, ”You've seen the photos haven't you?”
”Yeah,” he replied nonchalantly.
”Then why are you still here to pick me up? Won't you be bothered about what others will say?”
”No matter what others say, I'm still your friend. Friends are here for each other.”
His words made Renae smile.
