5 Late Night Indoctrination (1/2)
Panaka and Valad didn't pick a time for when they would strike against Borvos the Hutt. There were plenty of other things which had to be done. The world itself wasn't in immediate doom until exactly two months from this day. So they were relatively fine.
Should Borvos the Hutt be alive during the Trade Federation's invasion, it was likely that there would be more causalities than needed. Even if he had pretended to help the Naboo Security Forces, it was unlikely he would even be of us with Valad here.
Plus Borvos would end up killing one of the Captains belonging to the Royal Forces. He didn't need more bodies of loyal personnel to the Queen to die.
At the end of the day it seemed all of the members of her council dispersed and the room was practically empty. There were no aristocrats or government officials present. There was only the typical security and the collection of hand maidens which were accompanying Padme.
'I guess I'll take this time to explore the hub.' He muttered to himself as his vision gazed the blue user interface which overlayed itself over his normal sight. It was somewhat transparent so he could see through it, and he could adjust it to the point that it was invisible.
There was a diamond shaped button which he ended up focusing on, suddenly a menu he didn't recognize popped up. It was somewhat like a premium shop. He was capable of buying things, but not selling them.
The options for purchases were separated by categorical buttons. He could buy ships, guns, weapons, tools, licenses and a bunch of other things. Hell, there were even disguises here and cosmetic items.
Scrolling through the holocrons, there was a bunch of missing information in descriptions. It seems mostly only what he knows about was even available which meant very little.
Maybe he could go the Ossus in order to find a way to get some more knowledge pertaining to the force? There were plenty of force sensitive humans there that he could 'enslave' with his ability to indoctrinate them. Though he was going to assume it was going to be much harder to deal with them since they knew how to use the force. Not that they were possibly as powerful as a Jedi Master though.
Looking over at Padme as she was going through information vital to the sustainability of the system, his dull expression seemed to have shining eyes.
Panaka definitely noticed his gaze on the Queen, his respect and understanding from earlier slowly draining. His fists tightened as he watched him. Any wrong move and he would put him down.
The Security Forces weren't big, but they weren't small either! He knew that he'd be able to best this kid. He couldn't be much older than the Queen herself, at most two or three years. Even then, most Jedi were still padawans at that point.
Little did he know, the experience injection had given him enough power and understanding over the force, he was able to rival with Jedi Knights and high quality Sith Apprentices.
…
Later that night, Valad found himself on room guard. He was to be with the Queen at all times. This even meant when she was the most vulnerable. The people within the administration and government knew his role.
He was likely going to be used as a way to point out who the real Queen was for those whom were targeting her at any possible moment. Yet, the night was silent. The sounds of crickets came from the flood plains and greenery.
Valad began to relax a bit and remained standing beside her bed. He had the same posture as he did when he was standing by the throne.
However one thing he noticed was that she was sweating in her sleep. She moved uncomfortably, her emotions were awry. What was causing this?
His eyes narrowed on the girl as she let out a low whimper in her sleep, like a puppy kicking and crying while it slumbered. His gaze softened a bit as he raised a hand over her head as he took a step closer.
Little did he know, Panaka was watching from the nearby window. He had a clear view of what was going on. It seemed Padme was having a hard time sleeping, nightmares and the lot.
It was the first time of him seeing it, but when he watched him hover his hand over the Queen's head, he slowly and instinctively began to draw his standard issued blaster pistol.
