21 A coincidental encounter (2/2)

Seb smirked again. One of them who was little thin, was the one to reach Seb first. Seb sighed, moving out of the way, she kicked back at his waist. It bend terribly as he fell down screaming. The other one was no different. He lacked skills. Seb rolled her eyes at such weaklings. She had met tougher opponents during her tournaments. When he was close enough, Seb suddenly leaped in the air high and placing one step on his shoulder, she kicked on his face with her spike shoes. He clutched his face and fell down. Now only one was left.

He was indeed pissed on how a girl had insulted them by mocking their defeat. He was blinded by overconfidence to break her bones herself.

Seb just tched once. Not a worthy opponent.

She tilted her head once and took a step towards the emerging danger. He was too huge compared to Seb and it was an advantage. Seb easily slipped through between his legs. Then she caught his right arm with a thunderous speed and twisted it around. The leader shrieked and dropped the iron rod he was holding this whole time. Seb caught hold of it.

As the man turned, the only thing he could see for the last time was the rod being swung at him violently. a cold whisper followed,”Game over!!!”.

Everything turned totally blank for him and a few spray of blood stained Seb's jersey.

He spit blood like water and fell on the ground totally motionless. Seb was fuming from inside and couldn't hold back when it came to real fights. She indeed developed a dreadful motive when she saw them beating up the poor kid.

She led out a sigh and threw away the rod. She still had a dark lost look in her eyes. Then as soon as she turned at the young boy, her expression changed.

The boy was witnessing everything this whole time. His mouth was open in shock and his eyes popped out. how can a women be this rough? He had his arm clasped and was leaning on to the wall for support. His head was cut and bleeding.

Seb walked up to him and forced a smile to make him feel at ease. He was too young. Maybe 16 or 17 years of age.

”Are you okay kid?”, she asked politely.

but the boy wasn't thankful or amused. Instead of replying to Seb, he snarled,”I'm not a kid!!! I'm 17!!”. So he's a teen and all of the ones who had just entered puberty are bound to act this way.

”Well, I'm sorry”, Seb chuckled and pretended to back off,”Are you badly hurt? If you would tell me your name....”

”It's not necessary to know my name”, the boy said with attitude.

Seb suddenly felt a shiver. Why does this attitude seems so familiar? It was like a Deja Vu to her.

The boy was young, but he has got courage. He wasn't a coward.

”You've got cool skills!!!”, suddenly the boy said again. He seemed genuinely impressed by Seb.

”thank you so much”, Seb said,”But if you don't tell me your name, how will I address you and take you home?”, she bulged her eyes pitifully.

”I told you I not a kid that I need to be taken back home!”, he retorted again. But then he met Seb's eyes. They were requesting enough, but he felt uncomfortable. As if it was sweet threat.

”I'm ....I'm Noah”, he said looking away from her eyes.

”Sweet”, Seb said,”So, are you lost? I can take you back home”.

”I'm not lost!”, Noah quickly said,”Those jerks caught me off guard”.

”Does your parents know that you're out and getting into fights?”, Seb said as she noticed his language use. She was sure that his company weren't nice. He must be staying with some kind of gangsters.

”I don't have any”, Noah replied casually.

Seb stared at him. He doesn't have any parents, at such an young age. She imagined herself. Even she doesn't remember the face of her parents. It must be so hard to lose parents at such age. She went a little soft.

Changing the topic, she said,”Fine then, you must have a home.”

”I do for sure”, replied Noah.

”Let's get you back there”, Seb offered.

”I'll be fine on my own”, Noah declined though he was barely able to walk.

”I don't need formalities Noah”, Seb said,”You're hurt, let me help you”.

But Noah declined this time too. Continuous pestering wasn't at all Seb's thing. And she had never handled kids. She finally lost it and her temper gave in. She risked herself on someone who doesn't acknowledge assistance. She led out a stern form.

She placed her one hand on Noah's shoulder and pressed it a bit. It wasn't at all a friendly one. She spoke in a calm irritating tone,” Listen Noah!!! I just risked my life and time saving you. So listen to me while I'm still being nice, do you understand? I won't say this again, Where...do...you...live?”.

Secretly Noah was a little afraid. He didn't want to experience what the others did a while ago. He tried to act cool.

”Well, do you know the abandoned dockyard a while far? Down the Roque Berry Avenue? I have to get there”, Noah replied.

Seb chuckled in herself when Noah asked if she knew the place. That area is her Favorited spot to visit. But the question stroked, that why Noah wants to go there? That's place is totally isolated without any houses nearby. The only place there is.....unless.....no way.....!!!

”Do you stay alone?”, Seb dropped a query.

”I have my brothers”, Noah replied innocently.

”Brothers? How many?”, Seb asked.

”Uncountable”, Noah saiid laughing. That was a bit suspicious.

”All right come. Can you walk?”, Seb asked concerned. Noah nodded. But judging his state, Seb still wrapped her arm around his waist. Noah wasn't bothered nor did he object. He put his arm above her shoulder and started walking. Honestly, he needed a little help.

When they were out of the darkened lane. Seb studied Noah properly. He seemed like a.....pretty boy!!! He has a beautiful face, like a boy Lolita!!! He has pink lips, pale white face and large eyes. He would have resembled a girl if he had worn a wig and dress. His appearance and personality doesn't go together at all.

After walking for a while, they reached the dockyard. Noah removed his hand of Seb.

”Thanks....er”, Noah scratched his head,”How rude of me. I didn't even ask for your name”.

Seb smiled,”I'm Sybelle, you can call me Seb”.

”Seb, I owe you one”, Noah smiled back vaguely.

”Yeah, but I've come this far, let me help you get home. You're too injured”, Seb said.

”No I'll manage. You've already done this far”, Noah hesitated.

But Seb had other reasons. She wanted to see where he lived. It was a bit doubtful too. By the time she understood that the only way to make Noah listen is to scare him a bit. She bent down and came upto the level of Noah's face. She looked straight into his eyes and smiled creepily,”Where do you stay Noah?” and it worked like hypnotism.

Noah swallowed once and pointed at the abandoned ship.

Seb gaped at ship with startled eyes. Her intuition was right.
