20 Strength of a Dragon! (2/2)
I keep running as fast as I can for this last part and I can sense that the dragon is apparently behind me so I put forth a last ditch effort, I put more strength into this last launch than I have before. Right after I press off of it I can sense how far I am and accidentally launched myself way over the mark, by a good 3 miles at least. I don't know how far I was before, but I make another launch pad and put in some effort to get there before the dragon, who I know is getting close.
I feel the surge take me forward, and honestly I almost go splat, but I turned my body around so I was feet first, and as much as it hurt and as many bones that I broke I had beaten the dragon by a fraction of a second. The sage dragon looked at the two of us before talking to me, ”Since we have verylittle time I will consider this passing, though now we need to wait for you to heal. Wait, you're healing as we speak?” The dragon leans closer and observes my broken bones and how my wounds are already closing. ”Interesting, very interesting. Next is the strength then. This is easier than the other one since you acquired such a level of control already.”
The sage dragon walks up to the large brown dragon, and then by grabbing it by its tail, he lifts it high into the air. He looked to be putting no effort into it, but in reality as I have noticed as I have gotten better with my sage mode, he is using nature energy instead of his actual body. Almost like I am using mine, maybe the secret to it is something spiritual?
The sage dragon then gently lets down the earth dragon before turning towards me, ”First step you should accomplish is lifting the tip of his tail, then the whole tail, then an arm, then both, the leg, legs, head, body, then start lifting more and more until none of his body touches the ground.” Hm, well I am glad that he gives me clear goals, keeps things simple.
I take another of my Nature energy batteries before summoning another, then I walk up to the dragons tail and start trying to lift its tail with my own power and it didn't work out well. Probably would have fucked my back up beyond all recognition if I didn't have that regeneration. I start circulating the natural energy around my body, making sure to get plenty into my arms, legs, and my back, that way nothing hopefully will happen to my body that's too bad.
I start lifting the dragons tail and it actually starts going up, rather easily too. Wow, and this isn't just the tip either (That's what she said) it's the whole damn thing (That's what she said too)! I move around to its front and start lifting up his arm and it is a bit heavier than the tail surprisingly, but still easy with my nature energy, I then start going in order that he gave me, and it was fine for most of it, but then when I go to his body I started struggling. So I took a small breather to take a nap since even though the clones I was using had near negligible exhaustion, it still affected me a bit.
I wonder if Arthur is doing alright? Hm, I'll send a shadow clone to check on him before I fall asleep. I slept peacefully for the most part, well except for the fact that I was being haunted by filler. God I hope that the filler isn't here. That will not be a fun time, like with those damn ninja ostrich. I hated those.
I crack my neck and the clone I sent to check on Arthur dismissed himself, it seemed Jiraiya had been staying at my place. I mean I don't care but it'd be nice if he told me, but I'll forgive him since him and Minato have been giving Arthur company and food, though they don't know how to clean the litter box so I had the clone do that, and I gotta tell you, I would be fine not remembering that smell.
After fully waking up I start collecting more natural energy, which an update on, I have now gotten it down to about 30 or so minutes from how often I am using it. I'll be satisfied once it takes me 10 minutes to get it done, after that I am fine with just getting it lower naturally.
I then reinforce my body with the energy and try lifting the dragons body again, it didn't work though so I put more energy again. Now I could just put a lot of energy into it and be done with it, but I want to train my control of it, be able to put just the right amount of energy into something so that if I pick up a pebble I don't just go and yeet that bitch into the sun. Well also so that I can not seem too different than normal, I mean I think its everyone's favorite cliche where someone tries to punch you but you grab their fist so they can't move it at all. Just me? Ok...
After trying for a few minutes I finally am able to put in just enough strength to lift him up a few centimeters off the ground, and that's with a lot of effort so I back away to catch my breath again. Then, after channeling in more energy I start trying to lift it again, this time I could get it inches with great effort. Man this is going to take a while. Wait aren't these things supposed to be like training montage in shows and movies? Oh thank god, means people don't have to see this pointless crap. Wait, that means that I'm the only one that has to suffer, son of a bitch let me just montage this.
I guess life just doesn't want me to montage, whatever. I keep repeating the process of lifting the dragon little by little until I finally manage to get his whole body a foot in the air, this may seem like it went by fast but, well, it took me an hour. I don't know if this is fast since there's no precedent other than a dragon who can lift another dragon. So yeah, I'm just going as fast as I can, I don't want to waste this training time.
I then put in the amount of energy it took for each limb and add most of it onto the energy I put on the body. Since I don't have any visual representation assume that it takes 20 points to lift up the whole tail, it takes 200 to lift up just the body, so right now I am putting around 500 points in that way I can lift the dragon up easily. I start lifting the dragon up slowly to check my strength and slowly the dragon rises, then I put it over my head like lifting a giant weight when suddenly it starts getting heavier.
Does it not like me lifting it? I put another 20 points of energy into myself every time that it gets to be too heavy for me. How damn heavy is this dragon going to get? Well I am nowhere near tall enough to go and have this dragon off the ground, so I take a step into the air, then another and another until I am a good 10 feet in the air. Right now it is much heavier than it was a first, but then suddenly it's weight starts fluctuating and making it lighter.
Wait hold up, what? It's getting lighter? Is this strength control? Oh god, I start reducing my strength to the point where I can still feel the pressure of the dragon then I start climbing higher into the air, I can't let any of it's limbs be touching the ground. Right when I get to the 25 foot mark its weight suddenly increases, but this time it didn't affect me too much so I keep climbing higher. On the way to the 50 foot mark (This is a big ass dragon) it's weight started increasing and decreasing more and more, and once I hit the 50 feet point, the point where it wouldn't be able to touch the ground its weigh increased by 10 times, making me have to put a sudden burst of energy into how strong I am.
”Excellent. You are done with this test now. Onto the next one.” The sage dragon nods at me in approval. Seems I did good? I push the dragon off my shoulders and let him fall awkwardly onto the ground while I take a few steps down.
