Skills are the usable techniques of the creature, if user were to relate it to something in user's current world, it would be martial techniques.

'Martial techniques!' Shi Li's eyes gleamed with surprise as he didn't know this at all. He looked at the cat and saw that it was still rubbing its body onto his.

After a few minutes of rubbing, his stamina was recovered to around 10%. It was enough for him to slightly move his muscles, but not enough for him to stand up and move around yet.

Without a choice, he waited for his stamina to replenish as the cat continued to rub its body. Becoming bored, he thought, 'If I can identify a living creature, can I idenitfy myself?'

Having this hypothesis stuck in his head, he decided to go for it.

'Identify self.'

He looked at the skills section of the screen and was disappointed to see that he only had two skills. But if others heard that he was disappointed for having two skills at the 1st stage of Tempering realm, people would definitely cough out blood.

'[Heaven's Waltz] is the first layer of the [Refined Skin Tempering Foundation Manual], so the eye could classify it as some sort of skill. But what is this [Overlimit]?'

As he asked this question, the information on the screen changed, revealing the answer.

[Overlimit]

Overall stat boost: 15%

Time length: 5 seconds

Overlimit is a skill that allows cultivators to exceed their current limits of strength and go beyond to fight against those stronger to either defeat them or end in a stalemate. Acquired through merciless training, continuous training of combat, or extreme sense of control within the human body.

'So that's what [Overlimit] was,' Shi Li was enlightened. It was the skill he gained from continuously fighting against those at a higher realm than him, allowing him to triumph even when cornered.

Without anything else to do, he decided to just close his eyes and feel the breeze.

An hour has passed since Shi Li lied down on the center area of the Forest of Ruin. He opened his eyes and felt invigorated, making him feel like he could do anything.

Suddenly, he sat upright, slightly surprising the cat that was still rubbing its body on his after all this time. He extended his hand towards the cat, where the cat stepped backward in return.

Shi Li wanted to pat its head, but didn't know why it stepped back instead. He thought up of possible answers, and concluded that it was a problem with his face.

It was not that he was ugly or anything, but rather his face unconsciously radiated killing intent, which quite scared some beasts to the point they ran away from him.

He decided to lightly smile as he looked at the cat. ”There, there. I just want to rub your head.”

As if the cat understood Shi Li, it went closer to Shi Li's hand and rubbed its head on it, purring in the process.

Shi Li looked at this and smiled even more. This was quite a change of pace from the action-filled experience he had earlier.

After a while, he retracted his hand as he watched the cat chase his hand, ending up rolling in the end.

”Hmm....what should I call you?” Shi Li pondered for a bit. Back in his previous life, he had a pet cat that was white as well. It was definitely cute, but people hated the fact that its name didn't suit it. Shi Li couldn't help but shrug it off back then.

Thinking for a bit more, he looked at the cat and asked, ”Hey, cat. I want to call you Moddy, is that okay with you?”

The cat that was rolling on the ground abruptly stopped and looked at Shi Li with eyes filled with happiness. Its mouth slowly opened to reveal a voice that was unmatched in terms of warmth and cuteness.

”Nya!”
