Brian was astounded. He then recalled how he bought his loyalty from his commitment to Mr. Wayne. He also recalled how he dangerously got himself involved in the enactment of Jian's abduction. He recalled how he almost died in his effort to keep Jian from the armed men of Mr. Wayne.. How he was bruised and wounded....

”Anthon,tell me. What happened? ”

After the wedding reception,Anthon went home ahead with Brian. He was persuaded to tell him about him and Jia. After all,he needed someone to talk to. When everything became too heavy for him to bear,he would call Giselle. But he was afraid that his frequent calls would bring trouble to her marriage.

As Anthon pulled over the garage,he noticed that the lights in his living room was on. His hired house cleaner would always leave the house by five in the afternoon. And she had never leave the lights on eversince. Brian noticed his expression.

”What happened? ”

”I'm wondering who is inside the house. I see shadows and the lights are on. ”

”Perhaps,it's the helper.” Brian said but the flickers of his eyes were alert already.

”No,she always leave early.”

Before they got out from the car,the door opened. And a big smile of a pretty woman greeted them.

”Giselle? ”

”Brian!It's been a long time.” She, then,looked at Anthon.

”Anthon,I'm worried sick about you. You can't be reached for such a long time. I fly from Singapore just to know what's happening with you. ”

Anthon realized he had changed his personal number after Jia was abducted for their safety. He had also deactivated his social media accounts.

” Ay,I'm sorry. It's a long story. Thanks for thinking about me.” Anthon laughed.

”Hurry up!Let's sit down and start talking about all of it right away until morning. I need to fly back home after you're done. ”

Anthon was touched. Giselle proved out to be a true friend ever sincetheir high school years. She was always willing to listen. She got hurt and always cried for his own pain.She was even angry over his stubborness and love martyrdom for Jia.She always reminded him to move on. She never got tired to open his eyes to see another splendid life apart from Jia's world.

That's maybe why Alex insisted to take her as his wife...If she had not run away from their wedding,well... he might have already learned to love her.
