Chapter 102 - A Lot Of Shouting (1/2)

Hecathe unconsciously stepped back as he got a little uncomfortable hearing this man laughing as if he had suddenly inhaled laughing gas.

”Of course, I would know!” Raven exclaimed loudly and this time, there were a lot of emotions that were laced along his words and Hecathe was sure that he was not simply imagining it.

”Because he was killed by that bastard! Hahaha... So stupid! He was killed so easily! Hahaha... How can he ever come back?! The old man would be too embarrassed to come back!”

Hecathe's pupils seemed to contract as he heard the man and he couldn't help but feel as if there was a deeper story behind these words that Raven was shouting.

It almost sounded as if... He was close to the great Orgon.

”You're the ones who don't know anything! Nothing at all! Someone spouted some nonsense and you all believed it!” Raven suddenly started accusing Hecathe and everyone around stayed silent as they cautiously glanced at Raven and Hecathe who looked as if they were about to start a fight.

It was certainly not common to see guild members seriously fighting against each other, but since Hecathe and Raven were new to the guild, it wasn't shocking to see them having a difference in opinion.

”Raven, calm down,” Hecathe rubbed his head with a sigh as he tried to ease the situation but it was of no use.

Raven scoffed as he immediately shouted, ”Why should I calm down?! I don't want to calm down!”

”Because...” Hecathe lifted his head and pursed his lips as he looked the man straight in the eyes and responded, raising his voice to be louder than Raven, ”You're creating a scene here! Did she not tell you to keep the mission a secret?! Drinking doesn't give you an excuse to act like this! You better shut up before she finds out!”

Raven shockingly shut his mouth up as he heard this and blinked innocently as if he was a child that had been harshly scolded by his teacher.

Hecathe was a bit surprised to see that shouting back at the man was much more useful than simply trying to calm him down by talking softly.

Raven hung his head down low and Hecathe had no idea what the man was thinking but before he could ask or say anything further, he heard Raven muttering.

”But I'm only seventeen... Why am I not allowed to complain...?” Raven muttered softly but since the guild was shockingly quiet at the moment, Hecathe was able to hear him.

Hecathe's eyes widened ever so slightly and for a second there, he wondered if he had heard it right.

He looked at Raven up and down, almost looking as if he was trying to confirm whether Raven was lying or not.

”Are you sure about that?” Hecathe questioned with a bit of disbelief.

Since Raven was always wearing that half-mask and the purple cloak, it was hard to notice his body structure and it wasn't like Hecathe had paid much attention to it either.

However, now that Raven had said it, Hecathe looked at him and felt that Raven really did look young.

”Why would I be lying?!” Raven retorted as he glared at Hecathe.

Hecathe didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry at this moment.

”You certainly don't act like a seventeen-year-old,” Hecathe commented without thinking about it too much, however, although his words were said lightly, Raven didn't look to be impressed in the least.

”It's not my fault!” Raven immediately tried to defend himself, ”If I don't act like a grown-up, I'll become a failure!”

Hecathe couldn't help but chuckle as he heard this and at this moment, the drunk Raven really did act like a complaining seventeen-year-old brat.

”How can you laugh at me when you're the same?!” Raven shouted as he saw Hecathe's reaction.

Hecathe blinked in confusion as he heard this and pointed at himself as he questioned, ”Me? How can we be the same?”

”You're also acting as if you're in your early thirties or something!” Raven was quick to point out and by now, Hecathe was really sure that Raven was not simply acting to be drunk considering the fact that he had absolutely no control over his own tongue.

Hecathe's first instinct was to be more confused as he opened his mouth to inform Raven that it was because he really was in his late twenties, however, thankfully enough, Hecathe was able to stop himself before the words rolled out of his tongue.

”You're also still a teenager!” Raven continued to complain, ”Why do you act so grown up when you're the same age as me?! Isn't it because we are the same?!”

To say that Hecathe was left speechless was an understatement. The man looked down at himself and what he saw was the body of Alphius who was really a teenager.

Damn it...
