Chapter 101 - Threatening People Is Tiring (2/2)
”Why are you here drinking?” Hecathe clicked his tongue and questioned strictly.
”Brother Heca- *hiccup* Hecathe~” His slurred tone of speech was really not that easy to understand but Hecathe could somehow manage to understand what the man was trying to say, ”Why *hiccup* did you get here so fast?~”
”Fast?” Hecathe repeated in disbelief as he exclaimed, ”It's already night!”
”Eh?” Raven blinked in confusion as he tilted his head and it looked almost as if his brain was slowly processing the information that Hecathe had just given the man, ”It's... Night?”
”...” Hecathe suddenly had a foreboding feeling in his stomach as he looked at the man's shocked expression.
”You... Did your job... Right?” Hecathe asked in disbelief as he cautiously looked at the man with his eyebrows raised.
Raven suddenly broke out into a wide smile as he heard this question and the man confidently shook his head before he took out a piece of folded paper and gave it over to Hecathe, saying, ”The answer is a boat!~”
Hecathe was a bit speechless and confused as he heard this response but he still took the piece of paper that had been folded to form a paper boat and he carefully opened it.
When he opened the folded paper and saw the list that Raven had taken in the morning, he was even more shocked and speechless.
Hecathe glanced at Raven's bright smiling face and he didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry at this moment as he guessed what might have happened.
This man... Hecathe felt a little stupid for even worrying about him. Not only had he not noted down anything, but he had also folded up the paper into a boat as if it was a piece of scrap paper that could be thrown away.
”Did you really just drink all day?” Hecathe asked as he carefully looked at the man with an indecipherable expression.
Raven shook his head confidently as he denied this accusation and defended himself, ”I also went out to complete *hiccup* the mission!~”
”...”
Hecathe's eyes narrowed down on the man as he heard this answer and after a moment of taking another look at the paper, he asked, ”Are you sure about that?”
Raven bobbed his head up and down as a response, ”I really did!”
”Then why did you not write anything down?” Hecathe asked with a frown.
Raven shrugged his shoulders as he spoke, ”It's a waste to write it down. *hiccup* They are all fools who heard it from somewhere else.”
Hecathe sighed as he pushed Raven's hand away from his shoulder and got out of the octopus's tight hold that seemed to be trying to choke him.
”How can you be so sure that they are not lying to you?” Hecathe asked with a small frown.
Raven once again shrugged his shoulders as he spoke, ”It isn't them because the great Orgon is really dead... There's no way he can come back.”
Hecathe didn't know if it was just an illusion or not but he could almost swear that he heard some kind of grief in the man's voice as he said this.
”How can you be sure about that? He was the great Orgon, how can it be impossible for him to come back?” Hecathe asked as his frown deepened and he felt a little suspicious of this man.
Raven held his head down as he heard this and the man's shoulders started shaking, making Hecathe almost think that the man was crying, however, before Hecathe could react to it, he suddenly heard the man laughing.
His laughing started out softly but he eventually broke out into a loud fit of laughter, almost making him look like some kind of troubled maniac.
”You're asking me why I know?! Hahaha....!” The man exclaimed loudly as he questioned in disbelief and it seemed that his loud voice had managed to catch quite a bit of attention as everyone inside the guildhall started turning their heads to look at the scene.
