71 When did Anna leave? (2/2)

He placed a pillow on his place and tiptoed as slow as possible to the bathroom door. He kept his ears on the door to listen what is happening inside. It was eerily silent. He quickly opened the door, she was not there.

A sudden pressure filled his heart as he rushed to the cupboard. Thankfully her things were still there, he let out a heave sigh and walked out of his room without caring for his image. He went straight to the kitchen but he never forgot to look around for traces of her which were almost same as before she came here.

He saw Violet moving around actively in the kitchen with some helpers. He said in a low voice as he stepped into the kitchen, ”Ma...” Violet didn't need to see who it was, she knew instinctively. She said sweetly, ”Ara!... You woke up ah, Honey. Give me a minute, I will get your ginger tea”.

Ren opened his mouth to ask about Ria but Violet continued, ”Are the little ones awake?” Ren said with a smile thinking of them sleeping like cute little pandas, ”Nope, they are sound asleep”. Violet replied with a ”Hmmm”.

She turned around and brought the tea cup to him. Ren took it from her and sipped it slowly as he leaned on the side of kitchen table. Violet smiled at him and as she was about to go back to continue her cooking, Ren asked, ”When did Anna leave?”

Violet turned back and looked at him, another warm smile bloomed on her face. She said, ”That child, left an hour ago. She also said me not to wake you up, as you came home late. Looks like she had a meeting this morning, she was working the entire time while waiting for her breakfast”.

Ren nodded and kept the empty tea cup on the table. Violet said, sensing that he was about to leave, ”I will come and help the little ones to get ready, as soon as the breakfast is ready”. Ren smiled and shook his head then said, ”I will take care of them, Mom”. Violet smiled and didn't say anything.

When he went upstairs, Diya was already awake looking at the door anxiously sitting on the bed. Ren smiled and asked her gently, ”What is it sweety?” Diya's cheeks became red as she looked at the bathroom door and at him without saying anything.

Noticing what she wants, he picked her up and nestled her in his arms as he walked towards the bathroom. He kissed her forehead and went into the bathroom with her and then let her down. Diya stared him down but he didn't understand what she wanted.

Then she shouted in a squeaky voice, ”Turn aroundh, Papa”. Ren chuckled but he did as he was said. After the deed was done, he filled the bath tub and woke the little guy up. He wanted to be extra careful while bathing them. After giving them a bath, he took a quick five minute shower and helped them get dressed.

He didn't notice at first but when he opened the cupboard again to get the little one's clothes. Their dress were already selected and has been hanging on a hanger. They were matched, two sets of red stripes on a cream base top with cream bottom.

After dressing them up, Ren searched the nook and cornerof his wardrobe to match them. After the breakfast they went to Office. In the car, Ren was looking through the newspaper while the little kittens looked around outside. Ren noticed something was a miss the entire time and asked his little kittens, ”Don't you guys miss Mommy?”

Varun didn't have a change in the expression on his face when he said, ”A little, buth she said she whill make up for ith”. Ren was confused when he heard him as he asked, ”When did she say it?” Diya was the one who answered now, ”In the morning,....”
