Chapter 11 (1/2)
Chapter 11
But, she really can’t say that.
“Okay, I got it.” Leticia replied.
The conversation ended, they bid their goodbyes to each other, and went their separate ways.
All the soldiers followed the Lord and the three grandmothers went with Leticia.
Alexa whined.
“I wished the Lord would be a great Lord. At his age, he lost his parents at a young age and grew up being free-spirited—.”
“It’s not.”
Leticia replied, everyone was surprised at how nonchalant he looked.
“Every time I meet him, I get surprised, fall and scream… and seeing how he acts like that I don’t want to see myself like that… But what about Erden? After all that, it’s very annoying and pesky and now he is leaving for such a dangerous place.”
Leticia’s grandmothers were surprised.
“What? Madam? What are you trying to say?”
“You read too many books! Why don’t you write a novel now?”
Leticia came to her senses and was bewildered on that remark.
“What? That’s not it then?”
“Aigoo…How badly are you abused by your uncle and aunt, that you even blame yourself whenever something happens! Never do that from now on!”
Bastian said rigorously, her tone was so close to an order.
Then Alexa spoke softly.
“The Lord is never bothered by anything like that and avoids the nobles. There’s only one reason why he is moving.”
“What’s the reason?”
“Duties.”
“…Duties?”
“I’m afraid I have to go too. A white sheet is hard to find. Bastian, please show it to the Mistress.”
Casaro spoke in a husky voice.
Bastian took Leticia to the stairs.
They went up until they reached the tower.
The tower allowed safe observation around the castle. When they finally got there, she saw the vast sky and wilderness.
“Here.”
Bastian picked up Leticia and put her on her shoulder.
She could see the Halstead army just leaving the castle. The scene of running after the Lord was very imposing.
When they went so far and looked small, dust suddenly rose thickly from the other direction.
They had an encounter with the demons.
Leticia let out a scream out of surprise.
“It’s alright. Please take this.”
Bastian took the binoculars out of her arms and handed it over to her.
Leticia looked at them with her naked eyes, soon she found a dark shadow.
She immediately realized why she said, “It’s okay.”
Erden is strong.
When he wields a sword, mana goes into the sword while he wields it.
The surroundings were empty as if dominos fell all at the same time. It was just a relaxing spectacle.
The scenery cleared up in a flash.
Leticia looked with her eyes wide open.
The battle is hard itself. But it ended so fast that she didn’t feel like it happened at all.
Wow…
She looked down at Bastian after admiring him.
“That’s a great thing, right?”
“Of course!”
Bastian replied with a smile.
“Since he was born, the Lord has always been amazing. He is one of the greatest in the history of his family. He punctured everything with lots of effort. After the death of his predecessor, he took over the castle and tried very hard while saying he can’t lose to the demons.”
“I can’t even stand up to a real demon.”
“Is that so? Then that’s a problem.”
Bastian said, while putting Leticia down to the ground from her shoulders. Bastian asked because she couldn’t understand what Leticia meant with that.
“How can I do that?”
“Think about it. To move on to the next level, there are obstacles first. You can only grow up if you meet a difficult opponent. But he had already settled here, so he needed stronger and more frightening opponents.”
“Aha…”
It was only then that she understood for a little bit.
“So that’s why he is going far? To be stronger?”
“Yes, and he is going away to get rid of the danger that is coming to us.”
“Off the field.”
