Chapter 10 (1/2)

Chapter 10

It seemed that Bastian was not the only one who was strange.

She saw it clearly.

Alexa, the strongest of Halstead’s three demons, suddenly hesitated when she found Leticia.

When Alexa finished her business he didn’t go back to the bar, instead she waited for Leticia to find her. If this was someone else, it wouldn’t have happened.

“Master!”

Alexa said rigorously.

“You can’t put any honorifics just like that. Just call me Butler.”

Leticia took a little thing out of her arms, not caring at all.

“Look at this. I found the brooch you lost yesterday.”

Oh my God! This is?

Alexa took it in amazement then instantly regained her stern look.

“Madam, you didn’t lie down on the floor trying to find this, right?”

“—.”

“Ladies shouldn’t be kneeling inside or outside the castle.”

“Okay…”

Leticia answered reluctantly. Even though she heard harsh criticism, she wasn’t discouraged.

‘I’d like to talk like that too one day.’

It was just so admirable.

Although Alexa is an old lady with white hair, her grace and elegance are beyond anyone’s reach.

It was very impressive.

In another sense with Bastian, she can read difficult books and keep them one after another.

Leticia isn’t sure why Bastian came to live in this castle, but she is sure Bastian came from a great noble family.

‘I could never be like that, especially when I wake up.’

Leticia headed to the kitchen after saying her greetings, there she saw the Chef Cassaro waiting for her.

Leticia ran quickly and greeted each other with fists like crew mates of a large ship.

“Madame! Please try this one first.”

The first thing Cassaro gave her was baked bread with a glass of red berries.

“This is delicious! What’s this red thing?”

“It’s the eyeballs of a high-class frog.”

What…? Eyeballs?!

Leticia’s eyes grew wildly.

But she couldn’t just lose. Leticia pointed to the pork sausage without even lifting her eyebrows.

“Is that the meat of an imp?”

Cassaro threw her head back and forth while laughing wildly.

“You’ve already adapted to Halstead’s recipe!”

Alexa and Bastian looked at her pitifully.

“Since you are my Lady, I’ll play with you.”

“You’re only thirteen.”

Of course, Casaro didn’t care about it at all.

These three old ladies seem quite close to each other, but Leticia wasn’t aware of it in the beginning.

They were all rescued from the wilderness by the previous Lords. Even before Erden was born, they were all here and now he treats them like his grandmothers.

Leticia also felt like she had three grandmothers instantly.

Right now, no matter how scary their faces are, they themselves aren’t scary.

It wasn’t just the people.

The mud-colored castle itself looks different now.

Did you think it was dried and dreary at first?

It’s not, it’s now a relaxing place with a reliable structure. It wasn’t outdated but instead old fashioned.

The dark places in every corner aren’t scary anymore, they’re now cozy. The places were just stimulated with imaginations.

Leticia went on for a walk after a hearty meal of northern cuisine.

She’d been wandering around the past few days, but she hasn’t finished looking around this huge castle yet.

“Let me see.”

While touring the western wing, she found an old mural in the hallway. There were combinations of different monsters in the picture.

When she lived with the Count, she wasn’t given a chance to look around.

But now it’s different.

“Ohhhhh…”

Leticia approached it with her eyes shining in amusement.

‘Finally, there’s good information!’

Leticia now had one small goal.
