13 Decisions (2/2)
Noticing Tien, Gohan brought his hands up over his forehead, with his palms facing Turles, to gather energy. When he brought them down he fired off the technique he learned training with Piccolo.
”Masenko!” Gohan shouted. A wide bright yellow beam of energy blasted towards Turles. The Saiyan extended his right hand to receive the attack.
Nappa was too enraged to hear what his boss tried to tell him. He wanted to finish both of the Earthlings at once and be done. Then he could have his fun destroying the planet. The bald Saiyan extended his index and middle fingers.
He smirked and gave his wrist a flick, pointing his two fingers skyward.
BOOM!
A bright explosion filled the area. Amid the chaos Tien's shout could be heard.
Tri-Beam! HAAA!
The news chopper needed to take evasive measures and land away from the battlefield. The pilot was skilled enough to land without sustaining much damage from debris. The entire crew was shaken by the ordeal, but it did not stop Jimmy from wanting to pursue his story.
”Come on Lionel, we'll go on foot from here!” Jimmy Firecracker grabbed the reluctant cameraman and exited the chopper.
”It's really dangerous over there, do we have to?” the cameraman Lionel asked.
”Of course, it's for history! For the audience!” Jimmy explained fervently.
They had a lengthy walk ahead of them to get back to the site of the battle. Jimmy hoped that it would not all be over by then. It would be a huge disappointment if he missed everything.
Jimmy and Lionel crouched down behind the remains of a boulder. Not much smoked remained on the scene from the blast.
He was not disappointed because he saw all of the warriors. They were lined up facing each other. Both sides were gasping for air and clutching various injured limbs. No one was sure what was going to happen next, but they all knew they were running low on energy.
BEEP!
”Ha Ha Ha,” Turles laughed with glee fighting back against the pain he was feeling, ”We're in luck, my friends are here.”
A small saucer shaped craft landed near the Saiyan warriors. Vegeta and Nappa looked surprised by Turles's statement.
”Who cares, Turles. I know about your so called secret henchmen Rasin and Lakasei.” the Saiyan prince scoffed, ”If you think their strength will matter, you are mistaken!”
From behind the boulder, the intrepid reporter took stock of the scene unfolding before his eyes.
”Are you getting this, Lionel?!” Firecracker asked his nervous cameraman. ”People at home, two more invaders have now arrived. They are squat in stature with rotund bodies and purple skin. Judging by looks, they appear to be shifty individuals!”
”They seem to be carrying a crate over to the first set of invaders. What could they be planning?”
The newly arrived aliens placed the knee high chrome box down behind Turles. The Earth warriors were at a loss in how to proceed. They needed to gain back some energy, but whatever was in the box could be dangerous.
One of the alien twins kicked the box causing the top to slide off. Turles glanced back over his shoulder to catch sight of the contents.
”Good work Rasin, Lakasei.” he said before asking, ”How many fruit?”
”Four, boss.” Lakasei answered.
The alien twins were given a mission by Turles to try to grow a Tree of Might. He secretly had stolen the seed years before, but never dared to cultivate it. He was afraid the fruit would be taken from him before he could eat it.
While he was attempting to build the Crusher Corps., he met the twins Rasin and Lakasei. They weren't the strongest beings, but proved unquestionably loyal. Their loyalty was the reason the had tasked them with the mission to find an out of the way planet with enough lifeforce, nobody would miss, to grow the Tree of Might.
Turles grabbed two of the fruit from the box and tossed one to Vegeta. He didn't know how strong the fruit was going to make him, so he gave one to his ally just in case.
”This is a fruit of the Tree of Might. It contains the lifeforce of an entire planet. Its guaranteed to increase our power.” Turles said taking a bite of the odd shaped fruit. His body's muscles expanded as his body filled with power. The earlier wounds inflicted on him were gone. Feeling his power surge, Turles regretted giving one to Vegeta.
Vegeta examined the red spiky fruit before following suit.
”This is amazing! I can't believe you held this miraculous discovery back, Turles!” Vegeta was reveling in his new power.
”Rasin, Lakasei, you guys eat the last two.” Turles commanded. The twins scooped the last two fruit out of the box.
”What about me?” Nappa questioned.
”What about you?” Turles questioned. ”They did the hard part.”
”Your lucky I haven't killed you for that explosion earlier!” Vegeta chastised.
The fight resumed, but this time the Earthlings were at a clear disadvantage. Forget attacking, the Earth warriors were doing all they could to try and guard against the renewed Saiyans' attacks.
BOOM! BOOM! CRASH!
Shockwaves were felt all through the area from the beating Kakarot and his friends were sustaining. Nappa stood on the sidelines with his mouth open in shock. He was unable to keep up with what was happening in the battle. Several explosions later and all of the Earth warriors were plowed into the dirt either unconscious or close to it, their bodies were filled with pain.
”People at home, it is just as you've seen. The Earth's mightiest warriors have been defeated.” Jimmy Firecracker stated somberly to his audience. ”But it looks like Raditz is now making a move towards the battlefield.”
”Come on, Reiss.” Raditz said, ”Its showtime.”
