184 A Crows Grudge (2/2)

Two beautiful girls just like celebrities stepped forward to greet and bent low to greet. Then we were invited into the house. The buildings in the manor were all made of wood and even had small bridges built over a flowing river. There was a rocky gazebo that was arranged in an extremely elegant manner of the river. There were a lot of colorful fish swimming in the river, it did not seem like a restaurant at all.

We walked for about 5 minuted, then arrived at a flower reception. There was an ancient style table set, that was full of various kinds of fruits. String and flute instruments were being carried over by the wind, it was like as if we have been transported to the ancient times through time and space.

Xiao Mao dragged a stool and quickly sat down and then ignored Ao Yun's existence and invited me and Xiao Yu over to sit like he was the host, ”Ask for whatever you want to eat, he'll have it brought right away, no need to be polite.”

Ao Yun smiled bitterly and nervously tried to take hold of the situation and turned to me and said, ”Feel free to treat this place like your own home.”

Xiao Mao looked up at him with a smirk, ”this is your wish.”

Ao Yun didn't say anything.

Soon, all kinds of rare seafood delicacies in the world were all brought in by well-trained waiters. I have a passion and an addiction to seafood. I found myself salivating uncontrollably and somehow managed to restrain myself and fixed my eyes on the huge crabs and lobsters, plus on the no-name large fish and my stomach shamefully grumbled. Xiao Mao quickly brought a large lobster and a large piece of the no-name fish to my front. Then he took another set for himself and started to pig out and as he did, he said, ”No need to be polite....eat him to death...I haven't eaten fan fish for a long time...cheapskate...”

Seeing his lack of table manners, I was also rapidly moving my chopsticks, the fish was really delicious and it made me feel like it was not the first time I have eaten, it felt like I have eaten it a long time ago, when was that? I felt somewhat melancholic in my heart but I could not come up with an answer.

Xiao Yu's family has a lot of many and has traveled to many places. Now she was incessantly eating the crab and praised it on the side, ”This is from Hokkaido in Japan, right? It's so fresh.”

”Air transport.” Ao Yun simply answered but his eyes kept peeking at me eating from time to time, seeming very happy and it made me feel very embarrassed.

After the meal, Ao Yun didn't mention anything about the confession. He drove us back to the city, Xiao Mao said that he had something to do, I don't know where he is going.

After I got down from the car, Xiao Yu stealthily pulled me, ”I feel that that guy seems to be a bit fishy.”

I nodded, ”Oh, he's a pretty weird rich man.”

”I don't think he has a reason to have fallen for you...” Xiao Yu knit her eyebrows and was puzzled, ”You are my best friend, I don't want to say any bad things about you, but there's no reason for this handsome guy to have fallen in love with you at first sight. You're not a great beauty, besides sports, you don't have much of any other personal strengths...you don't like to go out.”

I nodded again, ”En, there's really no reason.”

Xiao Yu looked very serious and earnestly looked at me, ”You tell me, could it be...?”

”Could it be what?”

”Could it be that he does not fancy you at all, but isn't borrowing you to cross a bridge.”

”What do you mean?”

”A lot of handsome men are gay, maybe he has a crush on Xiao Mao, so he's pretending to pursue you. Today there was also this arranged event to try to win favor by borrowing somebody else's property.”

”No, it shouldn't be.”

”Xiao Mao looks very handsome. The two people standing together seem very well matched...and they seem to have known each other since childhood and their relationship is very good. So, it may not necessarily be that kind of affair.

I listen to her analyze it like this and I had a sudden flash of insight and it all became clear and my mind focused on that thought and I look towards the sky and the more I thought about it, the more it seemed plausible.

When Xiao Mao came to play that night, I had wanted to ask about it several times but I felt that it would be rude to inquire into people's private affairs. So I nervously watched him the whole time until he said goodbye and went to his room to sleep.

Alas...it turns out that this peach blossom is really not mine. Xiao Mao, it's up to you to clearly see the true heart of the other part, don't be fooled and deceived.
