Shawn leans against the door of the store. He sighs as he has his arms crossed. ”You almost done in there?”
Ellis shrugs. ”Theres' barley is anything in here..” He puts back a candy bar.
Carrie shoves some soda drinks in her bag. ”Still it's enough for now.”
Ellis looks over at Mike. ”Really?”
Mike has candy shoved in his mouth. ”What?”
”Idiot” Ellis chuckles a little as he turns to the counter. ”Looks like when Carley left here some people broke in to rob the place.” He looks at the cash register.
”Why steal money when the world came to an end?” Carrie looks at the register too.
Ellis shrugs. ”People will still be people...” He closes the register.
Carrie looks through the window to see Carley sitting next to Shawn. ”Its awful what happen to her..”
Ellis looks over. ”Yeah...” He looks at the ground. ”Look lets just leave” He grabs Mike.
”B-but chocolate!” Mike grabs some candy before he is picked up.
Carrie laughs. She walks past them. She stands by Carley. ”Here” She hands her a soda. ”Still cold”
Carley grabs it. ”Thank you” She opens the drink. ”Smells good” She laughs as she takes a drink.

Everyone jumps when hearing a voice.
”The hell?” Shawn holds his shotgun tight.
Ellis and Mike protect Carrie.
Carrie looks around the area. ”Who do you think said that?”
Mike shrugs. ”Could be a creep” He takes a bite out of a bar.
Ellis swallows hard.
”Did one of you say my name?” She asked.
Ellis and Mike shook their heads.

John walked from the corner of the gas station.

Carrie's eyes widen. ”John-” She was about to run to him but Shawn stopped her.
”No..” He shook his head not taking his eye's off John. ”Something's off...”
John has his arms up. ”I come in peace” He slowly walks towards them.
”That's far enough” Shawn holds his gun toward him.
John stops.
”Shawn!” She pulls down his gun. ”It's only John.”
”Carrie ask yourself. Why now does he show up? Where was he?” Shawn asks as he stares at John.
She looked at John. ”He has a point.” She crosses her arms. ”What happen to you?”
John sighs. 'Great..' ”I was kidnapped.”
”Bullshit” Shawn growls.
John shoots him a look. ”I was!”
”And I'm the president of the United States..” Shawn points his gun again at John. ”So I'll ask again. What happen to you?”
”I was!” John puts his arms down. ”I escaped a few days ago. They took me when I went to go piss when it was my turn to stay up and watch on the bus.” He sighs. ”Shawn..they took June's life...they...they shot her...in front of me..they-”
Shawn grabbed John without him looking by the shirt. He held him high. ”Shut your mouth! Shut it!”
John looked worried at him. ”Shawn...” He felt sorry for him. ”It's true...she didn't want to go with them so they killed her. She fight until her last breath..”
Ellis clutched his fists.
John looked down at Shawn. ”I'm sorry...”
Shawn set John down. ”Just...just..” He bite his lip. ”Just tell me that she was a strong fighter...before she left!” Tears rolled down his face.
John looked at the ground. ”She did.”
Shawn smiled. ”Thank you..”
Carrie went to John. She slapped him. ”That's for leaving!” She than hugged him. ”And this is for coming back”
He smiled as he hugged her. ”I'm sorry Carrie.”
She let go. ”I'm happy that your safe.” She smiled at him.
He smiled back. ”Me too” He looked at Carley. ”You met new people?”
”Yeah. I mean she's new new but we met Miley's wife. Jackie. She has a cabin in the woods for us to call home right now. It's super safe.” Carrie looked at the ground. ”Promise me that you won't leave again..”
He kissed her head. ”I promise.”
