This was too much. Lin Mingyue did not know how she should react at his sudden confession. She imagined a lot of things that may come out of his mouth after he called out her name, but never something like this.

Hold on! She can't cope with this. Everything is too sudden.

Even if she wanted to misinterpret his 'like' as the 'like' between friends, Mingyue knew that it was impossible. She was not that stupid. How can she not see the way Yang Yun looked at her. Suddenly, Lin Mingyue found herself trapped in his gaze, and she cannot look away.

”You,” Lin Mingyue swallowed and found that her throat felt dry even though she had drunk a cup of milk tea. ”Yang Yun, do you know what you're saying?”

”I know.”

Mingyue looked at him in dumbfounded. ”You like me?” When she saw Yang Yun nodded, Mingyue started to panic and started looking at everywhere else but him. ”But we don't know each other well, and we have only seen each other for a few times.”

Yang Yun let out a soft sigh as he heard her words.

If he tells her that they have known each other for years, Mingyue will surely think that he was lying. After all, there was no way to explain without letting her know that she came from another world. Through their conversation these few times, Yang Yun could tell that Mingyue did not believe in such things.

With that thought, Yang Yun made a slight alteration in his plan.

”The things related to feelings, I don't think it has any relation with the number of times we've seen each other,” Yang Yun reasoned. ”Do you mean that I cannot like you because we've only seen each other a few times? If that was the case, then, let's meet each other more and get to know each other.”

Mingyue was tongue-tied. She found that she could not find any words to argue with him. However, Yang Yun's words… does he mean that they should start dating? Why does it sound like he was asking her to date him?

As the questions popped into her mind, Mingyue felt her face hot.

It was a chilly night, but Mingyue could feel her face hot with embarrassment.

Lin Mingyue closed the door behind her and leaned on the door. She lifted her hand and put it on her chest. Her heart thumped rapidly. Mingyue was not sure if it was caused by running up the stairs or the moment she shared with Yang Yun earlier.

Her body slid down along, and soon, Mingyue sat on the floor.

Then, her mind replayed the events that happened along the night.

She had invited Yang Yun to dinner to thank him for helping her back in the woods. Then, how did everything progress to this? She had actually agreed to date him! Does this mean that Yang Yun was now her boyfriend?

Mingyue brought her hands to cover her mouth when she felt her lips could not stop smiling.

Why was she acting like a lovesick teenage girl? Why was she too happy that she was now dating Yang Yun?

Lin Mingyue took a couple of deep breaths to calm down. When she was calmer, Mingyue took out her phone and dialed her sister's number.
