One day, Lu Man received a call from an unknown number.

“Lu Man, it’s almost the time for my wedding. Have you prepared your evening gown? If not, I’ll ask somebody to deliver one to you. Don’t you dare wear shabby clothes or refuse to come. I’ll ask somebody to send you here.” She had prepared an excellent present for Lu Man at her wedding. If Lu Man did not attend her wedding, all her efforts would be wasted.

Lu Man remembered now that their wedding was approaching when she heard Wang Yunxi’s voice, which was both familiar and unfamiliar to her.

It was not even one month yet. Why did she feel that Mu Yunhai and Wang Yunxi were people from many years ago? She had almost forgotten about them.

“Don’t worry. I’ll attend your wedding for sure!”

“Then, I’ll wait for you with Yunhai,” Wang Yunxi replied sweetly.

“Fine. Just wait for me!” She would totally wear a gorgeous dress by then and dazzle everybody there. She wanted Wang Yunxi to realize her own mistake by inviting her to their wedding. It would be Wang Yunxi’s worst mistake of all! Wang Yunxi would totally regret it!

When Lu Man reached home, she scanned through her wardrobe. Although all of her clothes were gorgeous, it did not match her expectations.

She decided to go shopping the next day with Qingqing. She wanted to go and buy a gorgeous dress and be the most beautiful woman at the wedding!

The next day, Lu Man left first because Pei Xiuyuan had to attend a meeting.

So, Lu Man and Hou Qingqing went shopping together.

“You must buy a gorgeous dress and dazzle everyone there! You must defeat her!” Hou Qingqing was even more anxious about it.

“Yes!”

They started out around six in the evening. They did not find the kind of dress they wanted even by the time the stores were closed.

They continued their hunt the next day but they came back empty-handed.

The third day was also in vain. They went to every mall in Haicheng but still they did not find what they wanted.

“What do we do now? Why don’t we fly to Hong Kong and take a look there?”

“It’s been only a month since I started working in Pei Enterprise. It’s not good if I apply for leave.” It seemed inappropriate if her job was affected because she wanted to take revenge on Wang Yunxi.

“You’re the boss’s wife. Why should you be afraid?”

“I’m not afraid. But, it’s inappropriate. Let’s just choose a dress from my wardrobe then.”

“We have run out of options.”

Liang Feiyue called them right at that moment, asking them if they had found what they wanted.

“No.”

“I have a friend and she’s a designer. She makes customized clothes. All of her evening gowns are quite dazzling. Why don’t we go and take a look?”

Both Lu Man and Hou Qingqing grumbled when they heard what Liang Feiyue had said.

“Why didn’t you mention it earlier that you know such a friend?”

“How would I have known when I only got to know her yesterday?” Liang Feiyue replied weakly.

“We’ve wronged you…”

Liang Feiyue replied weakly, “It’s the fact.”

The three of them went to the designer’s office the next day. Lu Man found the evening gown she wanted there. All of them agreed on that dress.

She did not bring the dress home because it would only be completed the next day. Finally, she had found what she wanted.

Now, she just needed to find herself an escort.

“Xiuyuan.” Lu Man sat beside Pei Xiuyuan and addressed him intimately when the dinner was over.

“Yes?”

“Are you free this Saturday?”

“Yes.”

“Go to a wedding with me then!”

“Okay.”

He gave his promise so soon that Lu Man was in doubt.

“That… That’s my ex-fiancé’s wedding…” She had never shared her past with him since the day she had gotten together with him. He had never asked her either.
