“I know.”

Lu Man felt that what she said was unnecessary when she heard that. She understood why he had never asked her about her past. He never asked her the reason Wang Yunxi framed her. It was because he knew about it all along.

She was rather uncomfortable when she realized this. He had investigated her past. It made her feel that she could never hide anything from her. He could see right through her.

But, she did not blame him. He was rather exceptional. It was impossible that he did not investigate her past beforehand. It would be even weirder if he did not do that and was unaware of her past.

Pei Xiuyuan held out his hand and pulled her into his embrace. “Why do you want to attend your ex-fiancé’s wedding?”

Was she still in love with him?

“It’s because of Wang Yunxi! She provoked me!” Lu Man did not want to attend their wedding. But, she could not forget about Wang Yunxi’s past behavior and how she had treated her so cruelly. Now, she could take her revenge on Wang Yunxi. Why would she not do that?

“Is that so?”

“Why else would I want to attend their wedding?” It was impossible that she wanted to ruin their wedding when she was his wife now.

“It’s fine then.” He pressed her head against him. He stroked her soft black hair. Gentleness was written all over his handsome face.

Lu Man felt that he was stroking a pet cat when he hugged and stroked her head like that.

Suddenly, Lu Man looked up at him. “Are you willing to put on a show with me on that day?”

If she wanted to dazzle everyone present, she needed his cooperation.

“Huh?” Pei Xiuyuan was stunned.

“What I mean is, are you willing to act with me on that day?” She explained.

“What do we have to act about?”

“Just act like we’re happy together. Show them our aura!”

“I overthink…” She laughed rather awkwardly.

“You really do overthink.” She had thought too much because she cared about them. She wanted to show off in front of Wang Yunxi. She wanted to infuriate both Wang Yunxi and Mu Yunhai.

Pei Xiuyuan admitted that he was rather a narrow-minded man who was prone to jealousy.

He usually went online to look at the stock market and finance. He had never noticed any other stuff.
