Chapter 56 - Zombie Concentration Camp (2/2)

The more bustling the area was before, the harder it was to survive now. Ling Mo finally experienced this closely.

A large shopping mall like this would be extremely popular and bustling before, but now it was a forbidden area that strangers wouldn’t approach. If it wasn’t for the staff entrance, Ling Mo wouldn’t dare to come inside either.

Risking his life and throwing his life away were two completely different concepts.

Right now, Ling Mo and the others were on the third floor already. The number of zombies obviously decreased and they acted more boldly. It made Ling Mo feel gloomy that Xia Na and Ye Lian didn’t sense the existence of mutated zombies. But the anxiety continued to shroud over his heart and mind, making him feel extremely fidgety.

“Are there really no mutated zombies here? Damn it. We came here for nothing.”

The higher they went up, there were fewer and fewer zombies. Ling Mo no longer had any hopes.

He never imagined venturing into this shopping mall and risking his life without even touching a hair on a mutated zombie. How unlucky!

Did they have to go back the way they came here? Ling Mo didn’t want to give up. He pondered for a while and decided to go a bit further.

The majority of counters on the third floor was for selling jewelry. Only a small minority was changed into a supermarket. But those were all for electronics and there wasn’t any value in search through them.

There weren’t many zombies there. In addition, most of them were in the middle and there were counters they could hide from. Ling Mo and the others wouldn’t attract them if they kept silent.

To avoid getting trapped by zombies, Ling Mo intentionally followed the wall and walked slowly. His target was the bathroom in front of him, which was right in the middle of the floor.

He thought that Ye Lian and Xia Na still didn’t have any reactions when they got there. They’ll just have to admit their bad luck and go back.

Luckily, it was a busy district. There were other places they could search if they couldn’t find any here.

But when they approached the bathroom, Ling Mo became more disappointed. It looked like they had to go back now…

However, Ling Mo didn’t expect Xia Na to suddenly stop and speak in a low voice when he turned around, “I… Bad feeling…”

Before she could barely finish her sentence, a dark shadow abruptly leaped out of the bathroom and dragged Xia Na back inside right before Ling Mo’s eye.

Ling Mo’s heart skipped a beat. The dark shadow brushed past his shoulders and he didn’t even see what the thing was! Ling Mo thought that he was fast enough after the improvements, but the dark shadow was faster, even faster than Ye Lian!

But if the thing’s target wasn’t Xia Na but him…

No matter what the dark shadow was, Ling Mo only knew that he was furious! That thing kidnapped Xia Na before his eyes and he didn’t even have a chance to stop it!

When Xia Na was dragged away, Ling Mo immediately dashed after her. Under his control, Ye Lian followed him like an agile leopard.
