Chapter 57 - Hello, Sis Zombie (1/2)

The black shadow’s appearance and it dragging Xia Na away happened in a mere blink of an eye.

When Ling Mo and Ye Lian dashed inside, the shadow already dragged Xia Na into the female bathroom.

The door to it was already shattered. The supposed neat interior was now like an open stomach of a zombie. The walls, floor, and even the ceiling were covered in dark brown bloodstains.

Bright sunlight shone through the window. It didn’t bring any warmth here but made it look even gloomier and scary.

At his moment, Xia Na was pinned to the ground by the shadow. She was under attack and her instincts were fully evoked. Both of her eyes turned blood red and she pressed the long sword in front of her chest, trying to block the dark shadow.

Looking at Xia Na’s trembling arms alone, Ling Mo knew that she was not as strong as the shadow and she wouldn’t be able to hold on for too long.

The dark shadow was fast and insanely strong. Ling Mo immediately made a conclusion from the scene in front of him.

Without needing Ling Mo to control her, Ye Lian already charged at it by her instincts. Her eyes glittered with bloodthirst, lifting the machete highly in the air the instant she appeared next to the dark shadow and a cold beam slashed through the air.

Ling Mo’s eyes twitched. Ye Lian’s surprise attack missed!

The dark shadow reacted too quickly and he could barely see its movements with his eyes. When the machete slashed down, the dark shadow immediately dodged and allowed itself to stick to the wall.

A zombie who knew how to dodge attacks… Even a mutated zombie wouldn’t try to avoid any attacks. It was in their nature.

Isn’t this a normal mutated zombie?!

Although he was astonished, he quickly dragged Xia Na back to him now that she was free. At the same time, he made Ye Lian back off slowly and exhibit a defensive posture.

The zombie wasn’t simple and he couldn’t let Ye Lian attack crazily or they would pay the cost dearly!

Ling Mo finally understood why he felt so anxious as soon as he entered this mall. It was probably because of this zombie.

His consciousness and mind were much stronger than normal people and his sense became more sensitive. Perhaps the anxiety came from the instinct of being near a strong enemy.

Considering that there were no mutated zombies in a huge mall like this, Ling Mo more or less guessed where this one came from.

This one killed all the mutated zombies inside the mall and became a horrifying monster like this… It was even stronger than mutated zombies! It was intelligent! It was a complete level higher!

It knew how to hide, knew how to sneak on them, and knew how to dodge when it was getting attacked… It was an advanced level zombie!

This advanced-level zombie was far more intelligent than normal mutated zombies and their simple actions based on their instincts were now based on their intelligence to a degree.

The flashing red eyes under its messy hair wasn’t only bloodthirsty like what Ling Mo could see in other zombies, but he saw… Brutality!

That’s right, brutality!

It was the first time Ling Mo saw any fluctuations in a zombie’s emotions other than bloodthirstiness outside Ye Lian and Xia Na. Under Ling Mo’s stare, the advanced level zombie remained in an odd position. Its body was lowered with its knees slightly bent like a starving wolf that about to launch an attack any time.

After they confronted each other for a while, the zombie was getting restless.

As the zombie slowly took a step forward from the corner, Ling Mo finally saw her face clearly.

Her large curls were extremely messy. He could still see the thick makeup she wore before from her blood filled face. The dress on her body was already torn. Ling Mo’s eyes twitched at the underwear hanging on her left ankle. He couldn’t even see what color the underwear was before…

“It looks like she didn’t have time to put on her underwear before she turned into a zombie…”

Ling Mo smiled coldly.

He felt the extreme pressure from the zombie without underwear and it forced him to calm down.

Although she was strong and somewhat intelligent, she wasn’t completely unbeatable. She was just more troublesome than normal mutated zombies.

If Ling Mo didn’t care about injuring Ye Lian and Xia Na, he could’ve ordered the two to attack directly. It was such a small space and the zombie would die for sure. But he didn’t do that because it would harm the girls.
