Chapter 56 - Zombie Concentration Camp (1/2)

When Ling Mo and the others just walked in, they encountered two zombies. However, Ling Mo controlled them the second they threw themselves at him. Xia Na and Ye Lian both broke the zombies’ necks swiftly, putting them down on the ground. As expected, the girls worked well with him.

As Ling Mo assumed, the first floor of the plaza was crowded with zombies but the upstairs was rather empty.

In a shopping mall with nine floors, there should be many mutated zombies here.

No one would know about mutated zombies’ habits better than Ling Mo as he had a mutated zombie with him after all.

When Ye Lian was starving, she would attack against normal zombies, but her desire to attack normal zombies would decrease after she had satisfied herself.

There was one exception; Ye Lian had a strong desire to attack when there were mutated zombies around her. These mutated zombies seemed to have some sort of resonance with each other.

Perhaps it was because they all had the gel part inside them…

Compared to normal zombies, the virus in the mutated zombies was purer and it aroused Ye Lian to attack.

The other mutated zombies were the same, such as the mutated zombies that Ling Mo encountered before. The prioritized target wasn’t him, but it was Ye Lian.

However, it was strange to Ling Mo that Ye Lian and Xia Na had no reason at all. The other zombies didn’t make any noises either. The entire mall was filled with zombies yet it was dead silence. It was no longer a shopping mall, but more suitable to call it a concentration camp.

Ling Mo clenched the dagger in his hands even tighter against the eerie silence.

There were so many mutated zombies here and mutated zombies had to be born here. But did those mutated zombies leave? Or did they all kill each other?

All sorts of assumptions flashed across Ling Mo’s mind, but the uneasiness inside him became stronger and stronger.

“It looks like I’m not calm enough… So what? Why should I be afraid of so many zombies?”

Ling Mo secretly cursed at himself and he became less anxious. Although he had supernatural powers, he wasn’t strong enough to ignore the huge crowd.

Even though there were huge benefits ahead of this dangerous place, it was inevitable to feel nervous or scared. In another way, Ling Mo felt strangely excited. He even felt that he had never concentrated so much. Every single nerve was tense in his mind. As expected, stress acted as motivation and stress could evoke his potential more…

Although he hasn’t made a move on zombies yet, Ling Mo realized that his connection with Xia Na seemed to have a small breakthrough because of this.

His tentacles only stayed on the surface of Xia Na’s spiritual sphere before, but it seemed to get deeper now. The resistance from the deep end of the sphere wasn’t as strong and obstructing as before.

“That’s an unexpected surprise.” Ling Mo was delighted. Although it wasn’t enough to control Xia Na, when he looked at Xia Na, he saw clearly that Xia Na looked at him intimately after a confused glance.

As expected, strengthening the connection between them made her more intimate to him just like Ye Lian.
