Chapter 49 (2/2)
Wang Ling soon recovered from shock and as she was about to chase after it, Li Yu suddenly exclaimed, “Where is Wang Cheng?”
Wang Cheng disappeared right under their eyes silently. There wasn’t even a drop of fresh blood on the ground.
Wang Ling’s face immediately darkened and Li Yu’s eyes were filled with shock.
Wang Cheng couldn’t fight at all and he followed them closely on the way here. Neither Li Yu nor Wang Ling believed that he would run away now. But how did a living person disappear right under their eyes…
“It must be Ling Mo!” Wang Ling frowned. “Perhaps that Wang Cheng discovered where Ling Mo was and secretly turned to him for help! If so, Ling Mo must be somewhere near here…”
Wang Ling turned to the buildings next to her but she was nervous. Who knew if that strange zombie was the only one here or not? What if they bumped into it again?
“I think we should just go and leave Wang Cheng alone.” Li Yu suggested carefully. “That zombie… It looked like it had intelligence. It’s just too… ridiculous.”
Wang Ling’s lips twitched but she snorted carelessly. “What are you scared of? It couldn’t win against me! Perhaps it’s just like any other mutated zombies but only slightly different. Didn’t you see that he could only run away? Not to mention that we should try to learn about it now that we’ve encountered a special zombie like this. We can provide some information after we go back so we don’t lose in the future.”
As she spoke, the shock in her eyes gradually ceased as it was exchanged with excitement.
Discovering a new type of zombies! She didn’t expect a surprise like this since she was only after that thief! Although she was shocked, now she thought back and the zombie wasn’t scary at all. It even ran away from her. As for Wang Cheng… Whether he ran away himself or something happened to him, she didn’t care about it at all. To be honest, he was only a burden and a newbie who just joined them…
“That’s true… Are we still after the dagger then?” Li Yu asked again.
“Yes! How can we not?! But… We can’t give him a chance to run away! You, guard here!” Wang Ling ordered unquestionably.
When Wang Ling and Li Yu headed to different locations, Ling Mo was observing from the window on the second floor of the internet cafe and smiled satisfyingly.
Trying to catch me? You are just an underage little girl. Although she could fight quite well, her ability to judge was poor. A zombie puppet was more than enough to distract her… He wasn’t on Song Tian’s campus and he had no concern using his abilities. Who could imagine that he knew how to control zombies anyway? As long as Ye Lian and Xia Na’s identities weren’t exposed, no one would ever think of it in this way.
Not to mention that he wanted to teach this girl a lesson and he had to learn how she was able to stalk him.
She grasped his routes and continued to follow him, which already crossed Ling Mo’s bottom line.
They could’ve sought survival individually, but she had to create problems for him. It was like the classical saying that one did not take the road to heaven but to hell where there was no door…
Since you are nagging me now, the more you overdo it, the more you’ll have to suffer!
Wang Ling walked into the building following the blood trails of the strange zombie. Although Li Yu was terrified, he forced himself to stay where he was.
To his own decision, he shouldn’t be here chasing after Ling Mo at all! But Wang Ling’s stubbornness gave him a headache. Luckily, her cousin Xia Na was there. They shouldn’t have a huge conflict.
But the appearance of that zombie interrupted their plan undoubtedly. They only needed to chase after Ling Mo but now, they had to look for the zombie as well.
Now that Wang Cheng disappeared strangely, the two of them were forced to act separately…
When Li Yu was the only one left in the alley, he couldn’t help but feel palpitated.
He breathed deeply and gripped the metal rod in his hand rightly. Calm down. Although that zombie knew how to sneak up on people, Wang Ling was after it already. There shouldn’t be many zombies like this and even if there were more around here, there wouldn’t be any problems if he was careful with it. Looking at power alone, they were no different from normal zombies and even weaker than normal zombies. It was just that normal zombies didn’t know how to escape…
Li Yu encouraged himself and felt more courageous. But as soon as he straightened his back, he suddenly heard a small noise right behind him.
