54 If You Want To... (1/2)

There was a slight tight inside Yang Tian-Xu's heart, as he stared at her blankly. He had waited for so long for this day to come finally. Taking her home has always been something he thought he could never have managed, for sure he felt that she would reject him again.

Nevertheless, her acceptance of his offer had made him felt happy, and at first, he thought that perhaps he was dreaming. For the moment he stood still as he blanked out. Then he thanked her sincerely, ”Thank you for allowing me to do so.

Yang Tian-Xu's words of thanks had lead Wang Yi-An to become confused. Then she thought to herself, ”Wait, did he just thank me for giving me a ride? Wow, why is he so polite?” Yet, she could only reply, ”Oh, no thank you, President Yang.”

On their way to his car, Yang Tian-Xu had hope that they could walk slower. However, Wang Yi-An was used to walking at a face pace. As for Yang Tian-Xu, he had long legs, and so he had slowed himself down to match her speed.

Wang Yi-An has short legs, but still, she was fast. Then, before he had realised it, they had already reached his vehicle. They got in, and he slowly started the car. Wang Yi-An didn't have work today, and so he had taken her home.

There was no need for Wang Yi-An to tell him the address as Yang Tian-Xu had already memorised it by heart. The ride to her house wasn't as long as Yang Tian-Xu had hoped for, sometimes he would pretend to take the wrong turn so that he can drag their time together on for a bit longer.

Wang Yi-An felt like she had perhaps caused him some problem to find her house. ”Are you sure you don't need me to give you the address? I can punch it in the GPS.”

”No, it's okay. Don't worry about it, and sorry that I had taken the wrong turn. My mind gets a bit preoccupied sometimes. Sorry if I had caused you any problems.” Yang Tian-Xu said as he wanted to tell her that he wanted to spend more time with her. However, he was just afraid he might have made her feel uncomfortable if he said that.

Wang Yi-An smiled at him, and shook her head, ”Oh no, thank you very much for giving me a lift.”

”Anytime. If you want, I can give you a lift every day.”

Wang Yi-An laughs, ”How can that be possible? Did you and Fung Da-Ge bonded today?”

”Well, sort of?” Yang Tian-Xu wanted to tell her, ”I only became friends with him because of you.” However, it would be impossible for him to say so, and so he could only think about it to himself.

Yang Tian-Xu wasn't lying, it was the truth, as Yang Tian-Xu mind was preoccupied with thoughts about her. Also, for a second or two; he thought that perhaps he should see Fung Qi-Wei and have a chat with him.
