Li Yuan noticed all of that with a subtle smile, 'Naïve woman! This was his own restaurant so, naturally he didn't pay. But even then if he would pay for all that food for a year, it wouldn't put a dent in his wallet!' Li Yuan thought.

Li Yuan was observing the woman sulking from opposite him and ignoring his presence. It was expected for her to act like that.

After all he almost killed her but the girl reaction was strange. She should have been scared of him.

Nobody in the society knew of his violent tendencies and the truth behind how he acquired his position as the Head of the great Li family.

So the first natural reaction of a girl meeting her affectionate fiancé should be to be shy but she was scared although she masked her fear well but he was able to see through it.

And now instead of being scared and running for her life, she was impatiently waiting for the food to be served.

There was definitely something fishy about the girl and he will find it out! She was such an interesting piece of mystery to him.

As the waitress served them their drink and informed them that their food will be served in a short while, Li Yuan phone dinged.

Taking out his phone from his pocket he read the content with his brows frowned.

He was about to tell the girl in front of him what was the actual situation but then decided to play the other way and test her.

Li Yuan slid his phone closer to Lei Xinyi then said with a calm and domineering tone, ”The culprit who spread rumors about you has submitted her resignation. Take a look.”

Lei Xinyi picked his phone from the table. Without reading the content Lei Xinyi looked for the name 'Chen Shu'.

Lei Xnyi didn't know who the culprit was, a mere day was too less to observe everyone. So she could naturally not point in any body's direction. But this girl…

From how much Lei Xinyi observed, the girl was impulsive and emotional. She may be good at her work but was an utter idiot. She looked an indecisive person, a puppet, easy to be dictated.

And she was definitely not the culprit but someone related or close to her who she was covering up for.

If the girl was allowed to leave the company, this matter would end with her. And of course the person she was covering up for would find another puppet that would again strike her with the element of surprise.

Lei Xinyi was definitely a vengeful person but she was a patient predator, she would strike once but would annihilate it to the bones.

Passing a grieved smile to Li Yuan, Lei Xinyi batted her eyes shedding few fake tears to look pitiful and said somberly, ”Li Yuan, I am not a kind of person who holds grudges. I am sure she must have her reasons to do it….sniff… Please forgive her with a warning this time. I don't want the girl to suffer because of me.” She ended with a weak smile.
