”Li Yuan, I am not a kind of person who holds grudges. I am sure she must have her reasons to do it….sniff… Please forgive her with a warning this time. I don't want the girl to suffer because of me.” She ended with a weak smile and lowered head.

Frowning his brows Li Yuan banged his fist on the table and asked in a displeased manner, ”That vile woman made you look like a wh*re and slandered you by spreading horrendous rumors about you. Don't you care about your reputation?!”

Lei Xinyi leaned forward and held Li Yuan fisted hand in her both hands.

She then said solemnly, ”Li Yuan, have you thought what the girl will suffer through. Being resigned from the Li Corporation's headquarter, she won't get a decent job in the future.”

Taking a deep breath she continued, ”I..I just think I would never be able to forgive myself for making someone suffer because of me. I really hope you will try to understand me. Moreover no harm was done and she is already humiliated enough.”

Taking a calming breath Li Yuan said, ”..Okay, but I will demote her. With such morals, she is lucky I am not firing her.” Then he retracted his hand back.

Nodding her head she gave him a grateful look, as a sinister smile formed on her lips but it disappeared as it came.

It was for a very short time that a person would think it was an illusion but Li Yuan took careful notice of it.

Just then the door was knocked and their food was brought in.

And Lei Xinyi dug in, without wasting another second. The episode on the hill must have taken a toll on her.

She had all the etiquettes that of an aristocratic elegant lady but there was something wild about the girl. In the way she addressed, ate or talked, something untamed about her…

Even when she was acting all obedient. Maybe it was her aura…

Li Yuan looked at the eating girl with a subtle smile. Either the girl was a halfwit or too cunning.

After merrily eating their food, they left for the office, with half the dishes on the table still untouched.

When they reached the office building the whole turmoil was settled, although it was crowded because everyone were returning from the lunch break but there was no disorder or mischief like before.

All the way Lei Xinyi walked with her head lowered and face filled with distress, people felt sympathy to her. She looked grieved and scarred.

As people saw the porcelain doll aggrieved face as she walked past the crowd following their CEO, with her face lowered to the ground as she bit her lower lip.

She had innocence oozing off her; she looked hurt with her reddened cheeks. After seeing the notification and apology on their forum people were already contemplating on her guilt.
