Chapter 77 - Letters from Henry (1/2)

[My dear Anne,

These few days I've been apart from you had been terrible torture to my heart. I miss you dearly, you can't imagine how much I've been fighting against my legs to not run to your side again. Your smile and beautiful lips had become so habituated to my eyes that I am going crazy from not seen you.

Even if nature, the mountains, and the town were a wonderful sight, it can only be compared with the best moment of the Lith palace, they are nothing against your smile. My dear, please answer my prays and calls.

Darling, I beg of you to reply to my letters or messages, please, you can call me back anytime as I am missing you so much. Just don't leave me in this agony.

Your dear, Henry.]

”My Princess, are you alright?”

Anne had been in a bad mood from the start of the year. Not even Tia was daring to approach her like before as a strange aura was glowing from her body. Anne's irritability had started to show even stronger when the lessons started. Now she was in the cafeteria with all the cakes, fruit tarts, croissants, and every kind of dessert from the school menu surrounding her at several tables, all of them for herself. However, she wasn't even eating but only looking at the students daring them to take a step into her circle of happiness and taking a single piece of the desserts.

She was true they were about to give in to her temptation and someone will step into the trap to make her release her anger.

'Come on,' she said with her eyes, 'take one if you are brave enough.'

There was another letter without been opened at the side, a big H golden letter was in the front. It was one of Henry's letters, one of many that hadn't been opened or replied to.

The Princess of Lith had received countless letters from Henry and the messages and the calls could have now amounted to hundreds, but she hadn't answered back. Not a word was sent to calm the heart of the young boy. However, the silence was also one part of the reply. She was drifting away from him.

”Princess?” Tia insisted with a bit of a frightened heart.

”I am fine, my dear Tia, why are you asking?” Anne smiled while taking a piece of fruit tart to her mouth. Though, her eyes were not shining at all.

”…” Tia gulped.

She had seen the princess many times doing evil things, or tasks as she liked to call them, but not once the aura had turned so dark and red. Now, it was hard to breathe and not because the countless of delicious desserts, Anne had asked Victor to make that was making the students almost make a small pool of saliva.

[My dear and precious Anne,

The north is not as amazing as you think it is, it is cold and lifeless, only starving wolves that only surrender to one alpha and surprisingly Callum, can be found here. From the moment I arrived Hein, a small town standing at the frontier of Lith, I had been trapped by the snow storm and the cold had descended on the town so much that I couldn't move. I don't know when I will reach the Mansion of my Family, hopefully, it doesn't take that long. I miss speaking with you and hearing your voice.

Please, my dear, I beg you, I hadn't heard a word from you in two days, I am going crazy from the long wait and the yearning for one word from you, just a single word.

Your always loyal, and waiting for a reply, Henry.]

”You say this is a thesis?! I can't find why you are so confident after giving me this! The equations are all wrong and the conclusions are far from what I had expected!”

”Princess Anne, this… I…”

”Don't come again if you don't give me a proper thesis! I won't waste my time anymore!”

The head of the Economics faculty was the fifteen in the line to send his thesis. He had been waiting until the start of the Academic year, the same as the other teachers, to give his thesis to be reviewed by the Princess. However, from the moment he arrived, at least three elders were sent back with tears covering their eyes and one almost having a heart attack. The cruel Princess didn't lower her awful criticisms and remarks, not a bit.

The cruel comments of the Princess were making them shake in fear, some others were about to collapse. Now, not even one beg could pass her mind.

”Princess, this… aren't they Masters of the Faculty? Shouldn't you be more understanding?”

”Why? My dear Tia, I am only helping these men create more fascinating research to improve the knowledge passed to the future generations of this school or world. I should give them my most expert opinion and criticism for hard it could be. This way not only their papers will be of the best quality but they will grow with humility and without overconfidence. I am doing this for their own good… hehe”
