Chapter 205 - Time (1/2)

Lyn could see it clearly. The beauty they saw, almost as if it was something she could reach. Almost as if it was something that she was allowed to reach out to. Almost as if everything could be...

”It's about love. Even if it was a love that couldn't blossom.”

As she lets those words escape her lips, Rhys grabbed hold of her hand. She tried to pull away, yet his grip was firm.

”Seems madam nay it is. It seems thy know,” Rhys whispered. Yet another quote from a famous western writer. Whenever Rhys says it, Lyn felt herself getting nervous by the minute. Why is this man able to tell things about her?

Her eyes widened when she what Rhys was getting at, realizing the mistake she had just said a few minutes ago. ” That's not...what I meant. It's just ....I don't know how to deal with this....”

She didn't know.

Of course, she didn't know.

When she saw him again, just out the blue.

Suddenly seeing that one person, she thought she would never see anymore. Why?

Rhys sees her discomfort and let's go of her hand; his own hand made its way on to the top of her hair as he patted her head. ” Sorry, I wasn't trying to pressure you or anything like that. I mean, even for me... it's difficult since its been a long time. I have a lot to say to you, but after what happened I'm not sure myself how to go about it. I guess what I just did wasn't helpful.”

Ah, this hand, that expression, like before. Rhys looks troubled and confused.

Despite what it looked like to everyone. Rhys was a clumsy guy. He was always rather sensitive to most things said, and he didn't know how to react when he does something wrong accidentally. Even now, it seems like that factor still hasn't changed.

Its true she didn't quite understand why he kissed her. But for now, she supposed she could brush it off.

”Um...me too. Sorry.”

Rhys smiles at her, and Lila smiled back. Something like this though it really is only a temporary measure. After all, the two of them still have a lot to talk about, they haven't gotten to the main point, and right now this may only be temporarily niceness because of the situation they are in. However, for now, that's fine, even if this does end up becoming false kindness.

....

Even so, how are they going to get out of here? Clearly, Rhys read her thoughts since he taps the wall, ” Seems like another 15 minutes are remaining.”

She looks up. ”Your able to tell?”

”Yeah. I see these kinds of traps all the time. Kazuya is always telling me though that we should just break the wall down instead of waiting,” Rhys laughs, ” He's a pretty amusing guy despite his good looks he does ridiculous things at times.”

Huh? Somehow the aura around Rhys seems different. He looks a lot happier as in genuinely happy. So, Rhys is fond of Kazuya after all. Well, they are friends, she should have expected this reaction.

”You've gotten to know him well though, did he tell you?”
