Chapter 98 - Revenge 97: Experience the Same Punishment (2/2)

”Dad gave me your number.”

”Oh did he now. Well, anyway is something the matter? I'm pretty sure that your dad gave you my number just in case of emergencies.”

Zen started to tell everything to Mary and as Mary listens to Zen's every words anger started to surge up. ”Huh. Someone really dares to mess with us eh?” The sweetness in Mary's voice faded in a flash and replace with a very cold tone. ”How dare them. They must have a lot of courage to come up with such a ridiculous plan.”

Even though Mary was not in the place where Zen is in now, Zen can feel that the pressure in the air lowered.

”Y-you believed me?” Zen asked. He expected that Mary would suspect him of making up lies just to get attention because he is at the age of likes to have fun and fool around the a.d.u.l.ts.

”Yes of course. Usually, I would ask for evidence for what you and Anna claim but the way you explain what is going on over there is sufficient enough to make me believe. Besides if you really are lying to me, I'll give you the same punishment your dad have experienced a long time ago and it will quite a show to watch you.” Zen was relieved that Mary believed him because he and Anna do not have any clue on what they supposed to do. But at the same time, he felt uneasy to what Mary said in her last sentence. It's a good thing that the situation right now is real and not fake or else he might really experience the same punishment his dad have experienced. Though he is curious about what kind of punishment it is yet he does not have to guts to ask Mary.

”Why did you call me anyway? Why did you not call Alfonso, he can definitely handle it.” Mary asked. Why her? Sure she can eliminate them with just one order to her men but she is also sure that Alfonso can do the same without any of her help.

”Well... We tried to call him but no matter how many times he did not answer.” Zen explained.

Mary then suddenly remembers that she message Alfonso earlier for an assignment where in that place there is no signal. In this matter, she is partly at fault that they can't get in touch with Alfonso. 'Goodness, if I have known that this would happen I wouldn't have sent Alfonso there.'

Mary sighed, ”Since I'm not there to handle it personally, I'll send someone else and since you and Anna have a fair share of knowing how to attack and defend yourselves, keep an eye on Pia and her son, we don't know where and when those idiots will attack.”

After that Mary told him to wait for the person she'll send to where they are to handle the matter and they both bid their goodbyes.

Zen was planning on going back to where Anna is but he hesitated since Kyle was there and Kyle was glaring at him intensely. But his hesitation faded when he saw Kyle left the kitchen; as if the green light was on that he decided to get near Anna.

He saw Anna wearing such expression on her that he couldn't help but ask, ”What happened?”
