160 Journey To the Capital (2/2)
The two of them walked in silence, it reminded the Emperor of the time he had first brought the Feratu to the capital where he realized that Draig was someone unique beyond his ability to make runes. The thought of that young Arrogant boy he had brought back those years ago brought a smile to his face.
Draig however was trying to figure out the situation, he was certain that the Emperor was dead. He had seen the tomb and had seen his resting place along with his sword inside, he had even been treated as a criminal because of it. Even going beyond that, the Heirs of Subarashi wouldn't have came to hunt him down if the old man had been alive.
This did nothing but build more suspicion against this person impersonating the Emperor, though as the Feratu thought on it more. He found himself doubting if the Emperor had actually died or if perhaps it had been some kind of plot by the man himself, this brought a vicious look to his eyes as he narrowed his gaze onto the man's back and his fingers began flexing instinctively.
He resisted the urge to gouge out the man's heart on the spot simply because there were things that didn't fit this assumption, the old man wouldn't have let him take all those swords from the tomb if he had been alive. Especially if he had allowed me to be locked away like a criminal, this means that either he was dead at the time or that he has allowed these things to come to pass as a part of some greater plot. . . .
Either way Draig looked at it things didn't add up properly meaning that there was in fact something amiss with the situation.
As he was lost in his thoughts the duo had come upon the dwelling of the Subarashi heirs, it was in Dorm A which was of a much nicer build than any of the other dorms Draig had seen during his time in the Deva Grounds.
The Feratu was brought from his thoughts by a sudden burst of energy from the Emperor which caused Draig to become stunned due to the fact the energy couldn't be faked no matter how talented the impersonator.
'It's really the old man. . . .' thought Draig causing a frown to form on his face.
This meant that the man before him dying had been false and that the Emperor had more than likely allowed him to be locked up and steal his ancestors swords.
'What is your aim you old Bastard. . .' wondered Draig as he now held no favorable thoughts for this person.
The Vampire didn't have long to think as he took in the sight of all the Subarashi Heirs, there bodies were quite different from how he had seen them when they came to kill him. The missing limbs and scars that he had witnessed at that time were gone as if they never happened, now the Feratu was overly suspicious and it showed in his actions when a white haired missile suddenly shot towards him and he jumped lifting himself into the air to avoid it.
The identity of this missile was revealed to be none other than Junko who had taken the lead of the Heirs, the very same person who had shown him such a cold look with the intent to murder him.
'I will get to the bottom of this ploy, I will not be made to dance to the movement of your strings. .' thought the Feratu as he kept his distance from the group.
