Bonnie looked into his vigilant eyes and couldn't help asking, ”What's wrong with you? Is this the way you behave towards someone who saved your life?”

'Why is he so fierce?' she puzzled.

Darren looked around the room. It was obviously a plain girl's bedroom, but the decorations were warm, comfortable, and clean.

Realizing that Darren had just woken up and that it was normal for him to be nervous in a strange environment, Bonnie felt relieved. ”When you fell in front of my house, I took you to the hospital. You've been asleep for three days now since the surgery. I'm not wealthy, so I couldn't keep you in hospital; therefore, I brought you back home to recover. Besides, I majored in nursing, so I am capable of taking care of you,” she said.

Darren frowned as he looked at her, then he said in a low voice, ”You took me to the hospital? Who did you tell them I was?”

”I said you are my brother. You were mistakenly shot by a hunter in the mountains, and that is how you were injured,” she replied.

”What's your name?” Darren asked in an indifferent tone as if he was interrogating a prisoner.

”Bonnie.” Bonnie was stunned into silence. The man's aura was so domineering. She looked at him and couldn't help then saying, ”Your wound needs to be sterilized, and you need to have some medicine applied. I will come back later to apply more medicine for you. Your wound is still barely recovered. You shouldn't get up or move around too much. Else there will be a risk of it festering and becoming infected.”

Darren's eyes darkened. He sneered, ”You don't have a clue who I am. How can you be so reckless to risk yourself to save a stranger? Aren't you afraid that you might have saved a murderer?”

Bonnie's face froze, and she finally realized that what she had done was very risky. She couldn't help but step back. ”Even if you are a murderer, you are still too weak to get out of bed. You can't threaten me.”

”Right, I'm too weak to threaten you now, but that doesn't mean I can't threaten you tomorrow,” he said.

Bonnie panicked when she saw his cold eyes. She frowned and said, ”So should I rather have taken you to the police station?”
