Chapter 1341 Who Are You (1/2)

The man had no time to take Darren's anger into account. He immediately reported, ”Boss, the men we sent to follow Jacob have been discovered, and our brothers outside his apartment saw Jacob heading here with the police!”

Darren's face darkened, but he was not surprised at all. As soon as Nora had been found dead, he knew that all suspicions would fall on him. Fortunately, he had prepared a backup plan.

He ordered his men to get all their equipment ready, and they moved immediately. After all, he had spent a large sum of money to hire these highly professional fighters.

Once they were ready, they proceeded downstairs and, without a word, got into their cars. Darren got into the last black car. In it were four other men whose sole purpose was to protect him. He thought that he was one step ahead of Jacob and that he could get rid of him. However, as soon as they drove out, they heard police sirens.

The police were coming.

Darren sneered. It seemed that Jacob had come well-prepared.

However, he wouldn't make it that easy for Jacob to catch him.

The cars in front of Darren's drove out of the property quickly. The plan was to provide him a way to escape.

Finally, they were in sight of the police, with their cars facing the cops'. The policemen hadn't expected Darren's men to be crazy enough to break their formation, but they were wrong. Darren's men drove in four different directions. The police fired warning shots, but all of these were ignored. They could do nothing but to fire at their wheels. None of the bullets hit their targets. Finally, the policemen got into their cars, ready for the chase.

All of the four cars looked the same and had the same bulletproof windows. The police had no idea which one had Darren in it. They had to separate and tail each car.

Jacob had not expected for Darren to be so prepared for their arrival. He frowned, closed his eyes, and quickly visualized the layout of the streets they were driving on. The goal was to have an idea about which path Darren was going to take based on his knowledge of how the other man's mind worked.

Finally, he opened his eyes and ordered Sam, ”Follow the car on the right!”
