9 Ana’s Pas (1/2)

I heard the sound of the bell and ran to open the door.

As soon as I opened the door I heard

” Good Morning Eliza”

Someone greeted my mother without seeing me there,

then I fully opened the door and replied ”Good morning Mrs. Ema. ” I knew that Mr. Ema was on door.

She then realised that I, instead of my mom opened the door and said

” Sorry, I thought Eliza was at the door.

You must be her son aren't you”

There what I saw shook me from head to toe. I saw Ana standing at the door with her family. Apparently my mother 's colleague Mrs. Ema was Ana's mom, but for some reason Ana's head was down and she didn't notice that I was standing at the door.

She was all tensed and she didn't notice me there. She was keeping her head down, maybe she was trying to hide her emotions that she had while shifting from her grandma's house,

But when I greeted her mom she just looked up, she then saw me there and then all of the sudden her emotions changed, she was relieved seeing me at the door. After reading all this emotional changes I was confused, why was she relieved seeing me there. But on the other side I had other problems to face.

Her mom then recognized me and said

” You came to our house the other day didn't you. I didn't know you were Eliza's son.

Also I was going to ask your name and reason to be there but then you stood up and left.”

I got panicked, I knew that this question was going to pop up.

I don't know why I was in attention position and said ” Yes Mam, I was there that day. I was just there for few minutes, as you entered I left.”

I said all that in robotic fashion, I was so worried that I didn't recognize that.

Ana and her mom then started laughing,

Then all of a sudden Ana said cheerfully ”Mom, he is Kevin. Both of us are in same college.

That day he helped me on the way home by preventing me from falling on that slippery street. ”

She surprisingly said ” Oh! Both of you are from same college so you must be her friend.

Why didn't you tell me that earlier?

I thought that Ana again didn't make any friends at college.

Moreover, you are Eliza's son, so I know that you must be a good boy.”

I was embarrassed, but then I thought was she bad at communication when she was at school because her mom said she again didn't make any friends.

But then suddenly I heard my mom's voice ” Kevin, is Ema here.”

She came at the door and greeted them, she then introduced me by saying

”He is my son, Kevin. He is a freshmen at Tristate University ”

Ana's mom then replied with a smile

” I already know that Eliza, but you probably don't know that Kevin and Ana are in same college! ”

” Really ” my mom replied surprisingly.

She turned towards me and said,

” You never told me that Kevin.”

” Mom you never asked me that before, also how would I know that Ana was your colleague's daughter. ”

But then I took the luggage and said

” Pls come inside, ian already mid of October and it's quite cold outside at the day time. ”

Ana's mom was impressed by me and said

” Your son is very well mannered Eliza ”

My mom then started smiling and I was embarrassed, I then saw Ana smiling while I was being complimented. I was really glad to see that.
