374 8.2 A Friendly Spar (1/2)
During the friendly spar between Matilda and me, our level increased significantly as we sliced, diced, stabbed and hacked our way and I purposely let Matilda hit me across the body armour and also blocked the attacks of Crippling effect by Vendetta II using my shinguards.

See, it doesn't even scratch the outer layer of the armour...” I pointed out to the two strikes that I purposely absorbed from Matilda and she looked at them in amazement.
Her two strikes would normally maim a demon but with our armour, it's simply unstoppable even against Legendary weapons. However, I could still feel its heavy blunt trauma force and it took away 10-15 health points just from the strike on the Body Shield alone.
”How many points on your Constitution right now, Matilda?” I asked as we continued to strike and block with our swords. ”A little over 6k, why?” she replied as I sidestepped and used the pommel to strike at her back, spin around and hacked at the back of her Body Shield.
”Awww... You cheap underhanded bastard. I received a Ding Ding just now and said I absorbed a +200 damage from that hit and a +2000 from that hack. It says stab and hacks full absorption and zero damage attained. Hii Hii Hii... You really wanted me to test my armour, is it? You little squirming earthworm...”
Matilda struck low and I just block her strike by plunging Fury into the ground and both our swords shook when they were blocked. Our gloves absorbed the impact and both rang announcements and our blades were unscathed.
”Alright, let's take a break... We had been at each other for more than 2 hours. Go check your level.” I said as I returned Dury into its scabbard while Matilda did the same with her as she checked her stats.
”Hii Hii Hii... Not bad lah Robin. I'm still in Level 10 but had raised to Cheng 5. Earlier it was just at Cheng 1. So, does it mean that if I battle with someone higher level than me, I could level up faster?” Matilda asked as we walked back to the camp where the 2 lovebirds were sharing a lovely quart of Ben and Jerry's ice cream with soft rainbow bread.
”Hoy... You two lovebirds are busy snacking instead of sparring like us. What are you two doing, Eeehhhh...?!” hollered Matilda as she took a spoon, a piece of bread and started to scoop some ice cream and making it into a sandwich.
”We too, are busy sparring, with spoons right now with Ben and Jerry here,” replied Jean Lethal as he grabbed the icecream back and return it to his trailer. He then joined back with Stef who was holding to an ice cream sandwich for him.
”Haiya... You guys... As I was saying, you can level up just by sparring with me and even Stef too. But she can't use magic but use her staff and run around trying to hit me, I guess. Would that be al... Ooommpff...” my sentence was stopped midway as Matilda stuffed her half-eaten ice cream sandwich in my mouth and she licked her fingers afterwards.
