374 8.2 A Friendly Spar (2/2)
”You know what this silly boy did? He whacked me from behind twice and Body Shield was able to absorb 100% of the damage Fury was able to deliver at that time. The only thing I felt was a slight reduction in my health points right after he asked about it. This silly boy is really too smart and distracts one's attention and backstab you.”
Matilda complained to the duo and they realised that if they were to have a friendly spar with me, they could level up 4 Chengs every 2 hours just by accumulating experience points per strike and all I have to do it to block and parry all their attacks.
Just as we were discussing on our plans, the 3 support staffs had returned and they each had slung a messenger bag across their shoulders that they may have bought in the settlement after their visit.
”Sir Robin, let us prepare dinner first for the incoming armies. They had just sent me a message and would be going about the business first and report to you our findings,” said Will.i.am as he places his messenger bag hanging on a branch of a tree and proceeded to prepare the cauldrons and prep the ingredients as Aventina prepared the fire going.
It was a preparation of a simple yet sumptuous dinner. Plain steamed rice, sauteed tapioca shoots with pumpkin in light coconut gravy with chilli and grilled smoked duck and chicken that accentuates well with the light gravy. A tiffin was prepared for the dwarves and had been set aside and a short while later, 150 hungry men and women entered our camp and soon everyone was served.
The adventurers paid their voluntary 2 coppers for the meals, and washed their plates and placed it back neatly on the dish rack that had been designed and made by the support staffs.
The sergeants were the first to give the report for their progress and despite getting some cuts and bruises on their unprotected parts of the bodies, they would be going to face the same level of demons the next day.
It would be another 24 battles and these boosts up their morale and confidence as they had great meals every time they returned from their party raids and they had sold off their spoils before they had to Camp.
After each day, the sergeants reported that each member could collect as much as 20 gold coins after the rewards had been reimbursed and the broken pieces of armour and weapons were sold off as shillings to the NPC.
”Keep it up for 30 days and you would be receiving as much as 600 gold coins. Luckily for you, there is only a small investment that was made initially and if you look at yourself now, you certainly would have gone a long way.”
”We agree Sir Robin, in the meantime, we would like to ask you, when would you be planning to annihilate the demons from the nearby grounds?”
”Let's wait for the Sheriff himself to appear and we could make bidding with them. Dismissed...” I replied and the sergeants went back to the group to attend to their tasks and since they had cleaned their weapons and armours, they decided to head to the hearth and rest for tomorrow would be another 12 battles after breakfast and another 12 after lunch.
Looking at them being enthusiastic on levelling up and gathering small profits along the way, there always something to look forward to every one of them as they would be able to strategies their plans almost immediately before each party raid begins.
”Sir Robin, these are our findings based on a little snooping around in Fenton and Barkston Ash.” Will.i.am sat with the 2 girls before us and began to take out their stacks of papers from each of their messenger bag as well as their notepads and writing materials.
