Chapter 9 (2/2)

Lu Feng was stunned at what he saw. “So you’re trying to tell me there’s poison?” he asked. The cat nodded it’s head. Lu Feng frustratedly said “Motherf.u.c.ker. Which b.a.s.t.a.r.d had the guts to try and poison me.” At that moment, he heard Housekeeper Liu yell at him. “Are you almost done? Mistress Bai hasn’t got all the time in the world to wait for you!” the housekeeper told him.

Lu Feng immediately became wary of the situation he was in. He stared suspiciously at the garments that were given to him. “Since these clothes were made by the Bai Family servants, it isn’t Mistress Bai that want to harm me. So the one that has bad blood with with me…is that b.a.s.t.a.r.d Liu.” he concluded.

Lu Feng angrily clenched his fist, “d.a.m.n this housekeeper, watch how I’ll deal with you.” Lu Feng was suspicious, and stopped in his tracks, “If this can poison someone, wouldn’t the Housekeeper be afraid to shoot himself in the foot?”

Lu Feng suspected things weren’t so simple, he decided to thoroughly investigate. He looked over and tore out the cloth whilst placing the poison wrapped in.Then he once again chose out a black clothing.

Taking extra precautions, Lu Feng brought along the white cat and walked out. Housekeeper Liu saw Lu Feng carrying a white cat in his arms sneered, “What the h.e.l.l is that.” Lu Feng smiled and said, “This is a cute small animal, last time I was going towards the Immortal Cloud mountain I found it incidentally.”

The maids one after another took a gasp of air all wanting to pet the cat. Until Housekeeper Liu shouted out, “Are you guys done, still haven’t properly done things.” The maids immediately retreated to the side, The Bai mistress had apparently left early.

Housekeeper Liu was staring at Lu Feng while Lu Feng forced out a laugh, “Let’s go meet Father-in-law.”

Lu Feng could only carry the cat and walk. Now the day has already become abit brighter. From far away a guard’s face could be partially seen. There were a few people patrolling around with Housekeeper Liu’s retainers carrying around a few spirit lamps.

Lu Feng looked around at the guards, then he looked at the proud Housekeeper Liu and laughed, “Housekeeper, these clothes, were they all chosen by you?”

Lu Feng shook his head and laughed, saying “Of course it like these. I like these a lot.” Housekeeper Liu saw that Lu Feng didn’t really notice, and smiled back. “It’s good that you like the clothes. You’re going to be the Bai Family’s son-in-law, so it’s a must to look good. Otherwise, the townsfolk will laugh at Miss Bai for marrying a peasant.” He said.

Lu Feng gave an obsequious smile. “I agree, Housekeeper Liu.” At this moment, the cat in Lu Feng’s arms leaped out and ran into the garden. Lu Feng shouted in distress, “Not good, my dearest.” After speaking, Lu Feng quickly followed while ignoring Housekeeper Liu’s shouting. He went over to find the cat.

Then according to Lu Feng’s plan, he was to escape from Housekeeper Liu’s grasp. Since Housekeeper Liu must bring Lu Feng to the shrine, he could only be angry. “Go, find him and bring him back. I’m so angry, I could die!.”

The guards made an En sound and went off to search. While this was happening, Lu Feng was making a detour. Back at Housekeeper Liu, he was still fuming, “That rascal is really wasting my time.”

Suddenly there was a thump and Housekeeper Liu flew backwards. When he landed he rolled a few times on the floor, as he was about to curse madly, something was stuffed into his mouth. Housekeeper Liu was thinking of spitting it out but it was already swallowed. His entire face was extremely ugly, he saw Lu Feng was the one who hit him while holding a cat in his hands. He angrily spat, “You.”

Lu Feng mocking laugh and said “I have just fed you some poisonous herbs, and guess what? Only I have the antidote. So, you better shut it and obey me, or today will be the last day you’re gonna walk on this earth.” The poor housekeeper was scared to a point of trembling. “Y-you, you’re not afraid of Mistress Bai of the family head blaming you?” Housekeeper Liu stuttered.

Lu Feng icily asked, “Then what if I told them that you placed a bag of poison sewn in the clothes?” Housekeeper Liu’s expression changed gravely, “You, how did you find out.” Lu Feng coldly stared at Housekeeper Liu and replied, “You really have big guts, thinking of poisoning the future son-in-law. I’ll definitely inform the mistress and head.”

Housekeeper Liu was frightened by what Lu Feng said. “Young Master, please don’t. E-even if I tried to poison you, the poison wasn’t enough to kill you.” he pleaded. Lu Feng gave the trembling man a cold stare and said menacingly “Not enough to kill me? Well I bet it was enough to cripple me, wasn’t it?”

Housekeeper Liu shook his head vigorously, “No, not that…” Lu Feng then interrogated, “Then in the end what was the effect of the poison?” Housekeeper Liu then awkwardly replied, “She said, the poison would make you enter a state of insanity, allowing her to control you.”

Lu Feng suspiciously asked, “Who is ‘She’?”
