2 Killing Lorax (2/2)
”Tovarisch!” Dima said as he tried to scan the direction of the wind attack. But he also flew away from the blast of the wind.
”Dima, we better get out of here, this is not a magic spell,” Lance said as he ran away from the forest and firing his AK at all direction to suppress the enemy. Still, another wind blast hit him again, and he flew to the tree trunk.
Both of them ran away from the forest in a zig-zag manner to avoid the wind blast that someone shot at them. However, the tree also fell down thanks to that shock of air. They ran as fast as they could because of the rush of adrenaline.
”Who the blyat is shooting at us?” Dima asked Lance.
”How the hell should I know? That's not magic, I can feel it,” Lance answered as the beach went closer.
”Tovarisch, you are an interesting person, aren't you?” Dima commented.
However, when they arrived at the beach, another problem was waiting for them. The women were not there to help them, though Lochlan was sitting beside the campfire, which had already turned into burn amber now.
”Hey there, Lance, why the hell someone follows you?” Lochlan said as he pointed his hand to the things behind us.
A blue circular robot was flying behind them, and Lance had already his rifle muzzle at him, and both Dima and Lochlan had already grabbed their own GPMG; the PKP Pecheneg and the prototype LWMMG.
It fired again his hand cannon that was attached to his hand, but although the shot hit Lance back, the other managed to put a lot of rounds to the robot and turned it into a hunk of metal. To make sure they put 200 rounds both 7.62x54 and the .338 Norma Magnum to the robot.
The blue face turned into a chunk of high tech metal, and Lance further destroyed it by throwing two thermite grenades at it and turned it into a hunk of metal. After the thermite cooled down, they broke it down into several pieces and threw it at the open sea.
”Duh, now the progress is halted again,” Lance rambled as he threw his chainsaw at the ground and looked at the orange-colored skies on the background.
Dima and Lochlan approached disappointed Lance, ”Stalingrad isn't rebuilt in one day tovarisch,” Dima said.
”America revolution didn't take one day either. Just relax, ok?” Lochlan said as he greeted the women who had finished taking a bath in the nearby river.
”About time you show up,” Lance said.
”Well, Lochlan, are the stew done yet?” Melody asked him as she wiped her wet brownish hair with a towel.
”It's all done,” He said as he opened the pot that was sitting under the amber of the campfire.
The pot was full of bear meat instead of the shark meat. Apparently, they found a parasite living on the shark, so they just used it as fuel for the campfire, which won't do. Dima, as usual, always grabs the first serving of the soup.
They ate the soup with a beautiful metal bowl that had already washed using clear water from the river. The women picked up about five liters of water from the river. Lochlan grabbed the woods from the shoreline and threw it into the campfire.
Lance sipped at the soup, ”Tomorrow, could you help cut down the trees in the forest? we have five kilometers to go.”
”Sure,” Melody, Natalie, and Lochlan replied as for Dima, he will be the one that is guarding their encampment.
