Chapter 78: The Mist & The Unexpected Request (2/2)

”Oh~ As expected of a red rank. Not the first highest rank for nothing.” A voice called out to him.

This one was unfamiliar and didn't come from the shadows. He turned back only to find a single man standing there. Long black hair tied back into a ponytail and deep purple eyes. He wore a cloak covering his figure and had an amused smile on his face.

An excited grin grew on the red haired horned one's face as he slammed his fists together. A spark seemed to ignite between them.

”Oi, shadow. Fuck off, I'll go back after killing this guy.” He said

”...”

The shadow did not respond, instead the shadow stretched out towards the black haired man's shadow, grabbing a hold of it within a split second. It made sure to move in secret in a way that none of them wouldn't notice and thus was successful.

”I've grabbed onto his shadow, he won't be able to move. Finish him and return quickly.”

”Oi... Who the fuck asked you to butt in!?” The horned man shouted, a heat wave bursting out of him as he did so.

”Do you honestly wish to go against his majesty's or-”

The shadow was interrupted as the dark haired man suddenly spoke up as he twirled his finger inside of his ear. ”Don't worry, I can still move.”

”...”

”We've been wasting time so I'll just get to the point. I have what your king wants, and I'm requesting an audience with him, let's set it a week from now.”

After saying so, the man turned his back on the two before walking away. ”Give him that message, don't worry, he'll know where to find me.”

Veins could be seen bulging out even more all over the red haired man's body. His irises turned a blazing red as he yelled out. ”DON'T FUCKING IGNORE ME-”

*Slash*

'Huh?'

He was interrupted as the scenery suddenly turned upside down. After that, his head flopped to the floor. Confusion was visible all over his face.

”Ah- Shit, maybe I should have left this one alive too? Oh well.”

Those were the last words he heard before the life in his eyes faded.

The mist had completely spread throughout the entire room, leaving behind only the center of the Arena.

The princess who saw this was visibly concerned. The two ahead of her, so far hadn't made any moves whatsoever.
