Chapter 78: The Mist & The Unexpected Request (1/2)

At a loss for words, the ice spread throughout his body, instantly freezing him up. It was his complete defeat.

The horned princess who had been watching had certainly not expected this outcome. ”It happened when he first leapt off the pillar...” She muttered.

Some of Aurora's Ice which had gotten onto the platform before he changed it into a pillar, managed to sneak it's way behind his leg, creating a miniature cold Ice crystal which stuck itself to the bottom of his feet.

After leaping off the other metal platform, the crystal was left behind there. After timing it perfectly and making sure, that it was on his blindspot. The crystal expanded in the form of a freezing cold ice spike.

”That crystal was a result of my training to catch up to him...”

The crystal was a result of highly condensed Ice, the more she condensed it, the smaller the size but the stronger the burst. Not to mention, her ice didn't require power, all she needed was contact to freeze up her prey.

He had lost the moment he focused on the other instead of her.

”Not bad...” Muttered the princess.

Aurora had been diligently training in secret, both her stamina and her control over her magic. Ever since they had left the apartment. She realised how weak she had been and thus made it her objective to be able to stand beside him in battle.

But now that it had finally sunk in that he was gone. Her expression had become somewhat terrifying. Her eyes dark, resembling almost a black hole as she turned her head to the mist.

Her face was expressionless as she stood up from beside Gray's body.

”Violet.” She called out.

Violet too didn't look any less threatening as she nodded.

At that moment, Violet lowered her arms and the mist was propelled towards them. The princess who watched was visibly confused as she picked up Gray's sister who was laying unconscious on the floor.

'What are they planning?'

In the middle of the run down city, above one of the buildings a red haired horned one could be seen. The top half of his horns were red, just like his eyes.

His aura alone seemed to heat up his surroundings as with every step he took, the floor beneath his melted with every step.

”So this is the Ame-rhi-can continent... It's just as big as I imagined.”

Upon saying so, a voice called out to him from the shadows.

”The king ordered all nobles to remain in stand-by. I apologise if this comes off as rude but you must return back to the fleets.”

”Stand-by, still? For what? Don't you know how fucking boring it is up there?” The man asked as he turned to the shadow.

His temper was as short as expected.

”Orders from the king.” He said.

Upon hearing this, a vein bulged out of his neck before he pointed at the building ahead of him. ”Tsk.” He clicked his tongue.

Following that, a ball of burning blue flames manifested ahead of his finger. In an instant it was compressed, into the size of a marbel. 'That buildings radiating life energy.'

”Before I go, I was planning on killing them, but I'd rather use it on the coward who's been hiding. Come out.”
