34 The Flower Festival 2 (2/2)

The scene that played out in front was so beautiful and colorful and perfect for the occasion, the Flower Festival, making people so enthralled in watching it while some were busily going fro and to around the restaurant.

Seeing that Jing Chu was taking longer to get their order, Jiao Yu turned to Bai Chen, ”Go and take a look at Jing Chu.”

Bai Chen was also watching the play and often times, she would feel her heart get excited that she almost did not catch her young miss' words. Thankfully, she was not that absorbed at the play and was still able to hear her young miss' words.

After Bai Chen left, Jiao Yu sat idly at her own chair alone without the two maids. Seeing that she was alone and no one was restricting her to move, Jiao Yu headed to a corner of the restaurant where a straw screen was hanging before a gaping wall.

At the end of the corridor, two playful children came running in full swing. Giving a slight surprise to

Jiao Yu, who was curious on what's this place for. The children were wearing a blue and white silk brocade, smiling brightly as they ran. And as the two children was running, they were too occupied with running that they did not stop and even intended to push her out of their way, making Jiao Yu step onto her dress and fall over.

The two children shouted their apology and ran but they still did not stop to help her stand up. Jiao Yu felt annoyed at what just happened and looked irritated at the fading little figures of the children. After seeing their figures disappear to the straw screens, Jiao Yu wanted to stand up and not let anyone see her in that state. However, just as she moved to stand up, a hand suddenly reached out to offer help and before Jiao Yu could have any protest, the hand had already grabbed her uprightly.

Jiao Yu felt embarrassed at finding out that someone had seen her in that state and to cover up her embarrassment, she decided to thank the person first as she bowed slightly, ”Thank you for helping me.”

Jiao Yu did not bother looking up and only waited for that person to acknowledge her gratitude but the person did not say any reply, making her raise her head to see the person's appearance.

Two black obsidian eyes doused with a roguish glint looked back at her, ”Not so dignified and vicious as that night, are we?”

Jiao Yu's eyes widens at the person in front of her, ”You!”
