Tara didn't answer Nico's question, but she asked again, ”Her boyfriend doesn't want to marry her, but why does Lisa insist on giving birth to that child?”

Nico's lips were smiling faintly. ”Because Lisa loves him. It's not that the man doesn't want to marry Lisa, but everyone is getting in the way of their relationship. Lisa was caught meeting the man secretly and her father immediately sent someone to beat him and break the man's ribs. He is in the hospital now,”

Tara's face became even more unsightly when she heard that. ”Did he know that Lisa is pregnant?”

”Tara, after one year, Lisa will go abroad with her child. I won't make you wait long. Can you wait for me in just one year?” Nico insisted. He desperately needed Tara's answer.

Tara nodded. Never mind one year, even she was willing to wait ten years for Nico.

Nico was the first man to ever make her feel good. Tara didn't need to think about anything and could be herself when she was with Nico.

Nico took her for what she was and didn't make her feel pressured.

”If you want me to come to your engagement party, I'll take the envelope back. You know I'm very expensive,” Tara said on purpose.

”I don't need the money. I just wanted to see you,” Nico said in a low voice.

Tara took the envelope back happily and put it in her bag. ”I'm going to reschedule all my work so I can come.”

Three days later, when Tara arrived at the venue, the hotel parking lot was filled with luxury cars.

Luckily, she came by taxi. Otherwise, she wouldn't be able to find a parking space.

She was wearing a long white dress. As she walked into the event hall, everyone's gaze was immediately fixed on her.

”What family is she from?”

”I know her. She is the granddaughter of Doctor Tirta. She's the beautiful dentist who owns a dental clinic.”

”Is it true? Is her name Tara Dartha? I remember she used to be very ugly. Did she do plastic surgery?”

Today was Nico's engagement day. Anya and Maria wore similar dresses.
