91 Uncontrollable Emotions (1/2)
When Wan Bai arrived at the hospital, he went directly to his daughter's room before he could see his son in law. Nothing had changed. He handed Eyan the change of clothes and asked the driver and chef to set down the food for serving. He left Eyan to shower in the VIP room's bathroom and stepped out.
He walked into the next room and saw the Zi's. Everyone turned to look at him when he walked into the room.
”Come on in Wan. He was awake earlier but fell asleep an hour ago. Any news about Zunnie?” Old Mr. Zi was the first to speak when he saw Wan Bai.
”No, nothing yet, but the doctor said that she's doing okay. Nothing is irregular. The only thing is they don't know how long she'll remain in the coma.”
”Ah, I'm sure she'll wake up soon. Alex didn't speak when he woke up. All he did was look around the room. I guess he was looking for her. He had some soup and went right back to sleep.”
”That's great. They will both be okay. Did you guys get something to eat? I brought some food back from the manor. Come eat with us.”
Glad he had invited them, they willingly followed Wan Bai to the small sitting area in Zunnie's room next door.
Eyan's shower was short so when Wan Bai came back he was fully dressed and ready to eat. The two families dined quietly. No-one had the courage or strength to speak. They were all caught in their own thoughts.
When they all finished eating, the conversation was kept to a minimum. Old Mr. Zi was asking Eyan about the company to lighten the atmosphere when they saw the doctor and two nurses rush into Alex's room.
Shocked to find out what was going on, everyone in the room followed in behind them. Eager as well terrified, Alex's family walked into the room.
At first, they could not tell what was happening. However, the moment the doctor began checking Alex's vitals everyone's shoulders relaxed.
”How do you feel Alex?” The doctor in charge spoke.
”I've had better checkups.” Alex's raspy voice was heard.
The doctor chuckled before he replied; ”I bet you have. But that's good, you're healing very well.”
After the doctor in charge spoke to Mr. Zi outside the room, he left to see other patients.
