69 The Little Things Matter (1/2)
Everyone was stunned when Nyo shouted that he knew Alex. Zunnie she had anticipated that Nyo would be shy towards Alex but she looked relieved at his reaction. She had no idea how she would introduce her husband to her little darling yet after hearing him she felt relaxed.
”Are you sure you know him?” She asked still a little baffled.
”Uhm, I've seen him in the art magazines my dad reads. My dad says, 'Alexander Zi is a genius when it comes to art'. My dad usually does paintings for the company he owns, Arch.deZigns.” Nyo replied proudly.
They had not recovered when Nyo said he knew Alex but laughed when he tried to imitate his father's tone. He continued rambling on about Alex as if he were a God, while the room fell silent once again as they listened in awe.
'How could he know so much about this business mogul and talented architect.' Zunnie wondered, impressed that her Nyo had been well educated in that area.
Alex was the first one to speak.
”You're a very well-informed little boy. What's your name?”
”I'm Nyo and I'm almost eleven so I am not a little boy anymore. Zunnie sis is he coming to lunch with us? Wait till I tell my dad.” Nyo said, excitement illuminating in his eyes.
”Nice to meet you Nyo, I'm Alexander Zi. Since you're a friend of Eyan and Zunnie you can call me Alex.”Alex said as he extended his large hand to shake Nyo's chubby hand.
Nyo shook the large hand in front of him and smiled gleefully. Eyan and Zunnie could tell he was fond of Alex, after witnessing how ecstatic he behaved.
”Nice to meet you, A-Alex,” Nyo replied and giggled.
”Nyo, Alex shall we go, Eyan has things to do,” Zunnie said, noticing that Eyan had been looking down at his watch.
They agreed and said goodbye to Eyan then headed to lunch.
On the way to the restaurant, Nyo and Alex chatted about art and school. Zunnie quietly eavesdropped on their conversation. She was happy once again as she peeked at them through the rearview mirror.
