33 Whiny Puppy! (1/2)
CC receives a message that the client from five years old's job contacted them again. The sleeping beauty is awake from her long slumber. The client wants an explanation from him directly. Sighing, he puts the phone on speaker.
”Hello, my name is Lee Hyo Rin.”
”For me, you are a client,” CC replies. ”I have heard about the target. I will put the mind lock again. She will continue to live a miserable vegetative life.”
”I don't want that anymore.” He hears her say. ”She doesn't remember anything.”
”When did she wake up?”
”Around a month ago,” She answers him quietly. ”I didn't say anything because I was observing her. I wondered if she was pretending. I met her today. She didn't recognize me.”
”It's quite possible. She has been forced to stay in a vegetative state for the last five years. Memory loss is expected. Her mind is likely to be damaged because of my mind lock.” He explains it to her.
”Find a way to make her remember.” Lee Hyo Rin's voice is calm and spooky.
”When I use my talents on the same target for a second time, they are likely to become crazy.” CC rejects her request. ”That sleeping beauty will probably remain like this for the rest of her life.”
”Is there nothing that you can do?” Lee Hyo Rin nearly snaps at him.
”I need to observe her first.” CC is also interested in how his sleeping beauty managed to wake up. He didn't feel anything when the mind lock was broken. Either the sleeping beauty found a key to fit into the lock or she found a loophole. Even if the keys are changed, there are always some unlocked windows.
”Tell me what you find out.” He hears her sigh.
”I won't do it for free though,” He tells her.
”I will pay you. Do it well.” Lee Hyo Rin hangs up the call. CC leans back. The phone rings again. He picks it up this time.
”The client requested another job.” His handler speaks in the same emotionless voice. ”Do you want to take it?”
”Yes, I also want to see her again.” CC closes his eyes. ”Send me the address and information regarding the target. I will find her today.”
”I have mailed you.”
”You are fast.” CC has never seen his handler. This person is mysterious and always emotionless. It's always been this way. ”I have looked into her.”
”You have?” CC raises his brow. When did the company become interested in ordinary targets?
”I am afraid that she is one of us.” The voice is calm and collected. ”Choi Min Ho has been seen with her.”
”Choi Min Ho?” CC jumps on his feet. ”Why would he? Ah! He is the one who helped her?”
”If she is normal, then he would have left after she woke up.”
