32 You offended a wrong person (1/2)
Back in her room, she looks at the sleeping Tae Il. There is no way that she can tell him anything. Nam Ji Won decides to take a bath and change her clothes. After she is done, she opens the door and goes to Lee Hyo Rin's room. It looks like she is sleeping.
She comes back and packs her stuff and leaves. She books a cab in front of the hotel and goes to the nearest station. She boards the first train to her home. At dawn, she reaches her home.
”Ji Won Ah?” Her father is surprised to see her. ”You came now?”
”Appa, I have helped a murderer.”
Her father almost laughs, but he stops when he sees her expression. In his years of work as a cop, he has seen this expression before.
”Ji Won, did you do something wrong?” Her mother asks when she sees her.
”I...” Nam Ji Won looks down at her feet.
”Go back inside,” Her father tells her mother. ”Go back to sleep.”
”But?” Her mother feels that something is not right.
”Go.” Her father speaks sternly. ”I need to talk to her.”
”Don't be hard on her.” Her mother thinks that Ji Won fought with someone. Her daughter's temper isn't good.
Nam Ji Won watches her go with an anxious heart.
”Tell me everything.” She hears her father say. ”Don't skip a single detail.”
When she tells her father everything from the beginning, he doesn't show her any reaction. No hate or anger. She feels like a criminal.
”We have to go to the police station,” At the end, her father tells her pensively. ”You will confess everything.”
”Do you hate me, Appa?” She asks with tears in her eyes.
”I am disappointed that you lied to me and tricked those girls...”
”I am sorry.” Nam Ji Won regrets everything. ”I wish, I could turn back time.”
”You can't...” He stands up. ”That's how you learn. Let's go.”
