69 Kind Of Ugly (1/2)

Arius stood outside Asrael's bedroom, contemplating his next move after having just been refused entry. It was understandable, and yet he felt disregarded.

”Please?”

Silence.

”I won't bring up anything from last night!”

Silence.

”I didn't mean to cause a fuss. I'm sorry, okay?”

”Stop apologizing!” Asrael answer was followed by the sound of foot steps. Then the door was opened.

”You're not mad?” Arius smiled.

”I'm not.” Asrael looked away for a moment before saying under his breath: ”Am I that difficult to understand?”

”You are.”

”You weren't supposed to answer that...”

Arius put his hand on the top the teenagers head and saw how Asrael froze. He pretended as if he hadn't noticed as he walked past, though on the inside he was struggling to not tease him.

”Guess what?”

”What?” Arsael spoke as he awoke from his stupor.

”Chicken butt.”

It was once again silent.

”Alright fine, I'll spill the real tea. Today we are going to close the missing puppies case.”

”You solved it?” Asrael wasn't surprised.

”Easy peasy lemon squeezie.”

Asrael looked concerned. ”That's so 2006.”
