27 If he fell in love (1/2)

The five of them are their icecream, Arius, Zuna, Eirik, and Dante, sat together outside. Asrael however stayed inside the shop talking to the girl, Chrysanthemum. Arius shook his head at the sight.

Arius didn't want to crush whatever hope Asrael had, but he felt that it was better to remind him sooner than later. Remind him that he would live forever, and that the girl at the counter would not.

He wasn't oblivious to the way Asrael looked at her. He prayed that the boy was simply reminded of his mother, that way he wouldn't pursue the girl. Eirik also caught on to the way Asrael acted, and he shared similar thoughts. Live as long as they did, and one wouldn't have to pay much attention to understand something.

Zuna finished her icecream last, yet she was the first back in the car.

”You three can go first, I'll go get Asrael.” Arius told them as he went into the shop.

”Oh, hey it's eternal leader.” Asrael looked at him. Arius almost forgot that Asrael didn't know his name.

”Call me Arius.” He told him.

”Your card said your name was Phillip.” The girl behind the counter said with suspicion.

”Arius is a nickname.” He smiled awkwardly. Almost spilt the beans! ”Come on Asrael, we're leaving.”

”We'll come back here another time, right?” Asrael asked to make sure. His entire character seemed to change since they last spoke.

”Um, yea.” Arius nodded. Poor boy, but perhaps he fell in love a lot, and got over crushes fast? Hopefully, but for now he wanted to see if it progressed.

They were on their way home, and as Asrael seemed to be in a good mood they felt that questioning him would be easier this time.

”What does Phyrraium look like?” Eirik asked without turning to look at him.

”It's red, I think it glows in the dark too, but it's been awhile since I've seen it.” Asrael's change made Dante feel uncomfortable, he knew what it meant. He had known since the girls name was called.

”Back when you said you aged like a mortal with it, does that mean someone could grow old with it?” Eirik was curious even though he didn't show it.

”I'm not sure, I got rid of it.” Asrael was relatively cooperative.

”How many are there in existence?” Arius went on to ask, ”And where did you put it?”

”Well, I really don't know how many or where it is.” Asrael let a deep breath escape.

”I guess we'll figure it out eventually.” Arius huffed.
