”I remember when you were young, you always liked to climb the wall and go to Jiang Family's courtyard, or bring that little girl to our house, and give her food and play with her. Seeing him laugh like that, the Old Woman frowned. ”You brat, stop bullshitting with me! Hurry up and get Xian Tingfeng away from me!”

”Damn, I've been talking to you for so long, but I can't get anything out of you.” Qin Gengxin stood up with a sigh. ”Then you can rest first. I'll go down.”

”Go. Go.” The Old Woman frowned and waved her hand.

Qin Gengxin smiled and walked out of the Old Woman's room. Upon exiting the room, the smile on his face gradually faded as he turned to look at the door behind him.

He just couldn't bear to force her.

In the hour that he had been inside, he saw with his own eyes the sadness and pain that flowed in his grandmother's eyes. For dozens of years, she couldn't get rid of this pain, so what was the use of Xian Tingfeng coming here?

”How is it?” Seeing Qin Gengxin walking down the stairs, Xian Guiying hurriedly walked over and stood in front of him, asking in a voice that only the two of them could hear.

Qin Gengxin also said in a low voice. ”She still doesn't want to meet him.”

Xian Guiying sighed and nodded her head. She had already suspected something was wrong by looking at Qin Gengxin's face.

The Old Man trembled as he stood up and looked at them. ”Gengxin ...”

”Maybe.” Xian Guiying lowered her hand. ”I've been in the car for too long. Maybe it's the wind.”

Shen then looked towards Qin Wenqian. Seeing the child was enthusiastic and talking calmly with Mrs. Qin on the couch, it was clear that she had accepted her grandmother.

Xian Guiying sighed in relief. ”It's okay as long as Qianqian doesn't catch a fever.”

Qin Gengxin's hand slid slowly to the back of her head and caressed it. ”Rest first.”
