”Gengxin, don't be like this. We were once such good friends. Can you not draw such a distance between us?”

A mocking sneer formed on Qin Gengxin's lips. ”You don't need to beat around the bush. I'm not Xian Zihao. I don't have the patience to listen to your nonsense.”

After saying that, he looked at the slight unease in Zhou Shufen's eyes with a cold gaze. In the end, he could not bear to do so and sighed. ”Tell me, why are you looking for me? It's been five years, and you appeared so sudden. Please don't say it was because you want to be my secretary. With your position among the elite circle, I worry my insignificant Qin could not afford to hire a Buddha like you.”

”I want to see him.” Knowing that Qin Gengxin was impatient with her, Zhou Shufen directly said.

Qin Gengxin chuckled. ”Miss Zhou, it's been five years. After five years you just remembered to look for Xian Zihao. Don't you think it's too late?”

”I know that whatever I'm saying now is of no use, explaining is useless, and it took a lot of effort to find you, but you're so busy at work every day, I don't have a chance to see you, and recently you've been in China, so I have no choice but to find an opportunity to climb to a position close to you and wait for you to come back.” Zhou Shufen's voice was soft, but not weak. ”You seem to have found the wrong person.” Qin Gengxin sneered.

”I have no way of contacting him right now, so I can only come to find you.” Zhou Shufen explained softly, ”Gengxin, I know that you went to H City. I also know that Xian Zihao is in H City too. Can you let me go with you?”

His slender body slowly leaned back against his chair.

His eyes coldly swept Zhou Shufen's pleading eyes.

Seeing that he did not say anything, Zhou Shufen bit her lips. ”Gengxin, can you help me? I want to find him.”

”If I knew this would happen, I wouldn't come back.” Qin Gengxin frowned. ”Aren't you afraid that in the five years you've been gone, Zihao already has a beautiful wife he loves so much by his side? He may have forgotten you!”

”He didn't. I believe he won't. He isn't a man who will easily change his mind. He won't get married so early!” Zhou Shufen's eyes were filled with certainty.

Qin Gengxin raised his eyebrows and sneered. ”How do you know he didn't?”

”I feel it.”

”Feel?” Qin Gengxin reprimanded with a laugh, ”How laughable! You are too much. You're too confident. Back then, he had doted on you in every way possible, but he couldn't even defeat your ambition. You should be grateful to have a boyfriend like him. After five years, you have a gut to say that to me? Now that you want to find him, I'm afraid it will be very difficult for you to fulfill your wish.”

”If I don't give it a try, how do I know?” Zhou Shufen smiled confidently.

Qin Gengxin's eyebrows furrowed slightly. He seemed to be in a difficult situation. ”What if I say I don't want to help you?”
